at our church we don't demand that you wear or do certain things we don't tell you that you cant come because you don't do this or that. we let the Holy ghost work on them. when they get the Holy ghost they have convictions and don't want to do it anymore. yes there are some churches out there like that but my church is Apostolic Pentecostal and i remember when i first went there i said i would never wear a skirt but i was convicted. they never said anything to me about my pants. its a choice

I grew up in a church where it was mandatory to wear skirts247 / no make up/ earrings,bracelets,necklaces/could not color ur hair/ oh and could not use bathing suits among other stuff- I did notice guys had more liberty- I became rebelious because I felt like I was different in a bad sense felt i was worth less than a guy , I had low self-esteem and became very anti-social @ such a young age I was confused - all this man made rules kept me from building a relationship with God and pushed me away

Another thing I wanted to point out is that women's and men's slacks are different in size as well as in style. Women's slacks are made to look feminine, whereas men's slacks are built to look masculine. The same would be true in men's and women's skirts. Since the skirt is the traditional clothing for women as well as for men, the Biblical understanding would be to wear a women's pair of pants if you are a woman. If you are a man and want to wear a kilt, wear a masculine one.

First off I will tell you this I don't have to prove anything to you at all, but you are in definite error in this verse it does say "skirt" infact in many other verses in the Bible it calls male garments skirts not just in this one any ways the Hebrew word used is "kanaph" translated skirt The hebrew word for covering is "mikceh" this word is not found in this verse in the original hebrew scripture. Now if this was an issue of modesty then I can understand why you choose to wear skirts
And even if it was covering, which it is not, the fact of the matter is that Hebrew men did wear skirts you cannot deny this historical fact. That was disignated men's skirts at the time. And I am human I am able to make mistakes which is way the Holy Spirit helps me and it is impossible for me to always be accurate, but I know I am not wrong in this. The historical and Biblical example of clothing for men has been short dresses or tunics, and skirts. I know you think dresses are traditionally feminine, but in actuality, they are the traditional dress for men as well as women. Perhaps men should go back to wearing skirts, as the apostles did.
The word of God is the final authority. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10, and Ezekiel 44:18 show us that the anointed priest, who were all men, wore linen breeches/trousers under their garments to cover their nakedness. Clearly pants were men's clothing. Women in the US did not begin to wear pants until after the feminist movement, which some women out of rebellion started to do becasue they wanted "to wear the pants" in the house, having equality with their husbands and all other men

Ley me tell u my story. Ive bin apostolic since i was 7. Then my parents stopped goin to church. When i was 15, i went on my own. Believe me, if u'd known me b4, u'd neve guess that i'd turn to skirts. I didn't even wear a skirt 4 8th gd. Graduation. As i got closer to God, i noticed how tight my pants were and how low my shirts were. When i came to school, every1 was so surprised. Im definetely not saying that pants r wrong, it's a personal conviction.

I've heard ur opinions on makeup and apparel and i agree that most people, when they come into the church are turned off because of these high standards. However, if we, as Christians, conform ourselves to the world, wearing makeup and following the "modern fashions" then how is God's glory gonna shine through us? God tells us to set ourselves apart from the world. We must shine as a light on a hill.
I totally agree with u. However, if a woman is wearing really tight jeans, like the one's that are popular nowadays, and tons of makeup, are people gonna know that they are a christian? When i wear skirts i feel as if im set apart from the world, that people will automatically know there's something different about me becuz im modest. The way i look at it is by striving so deeply to make urself look better, such as with makeup and revealing clothes, it shows vanity and God speaks against that.

wearing pants does not mean that I am dressed inmodestly. In school people knew that I was different because the Spirit of God lives inside me. A sister that I once knew told me she was in an area where there was a drag queen and the man came up to her and said there is just something about you like there is a light that surrounds you my sister in Christ answered it's the Holy Spirit. People are not going to notice your Christian because you chose to wear skirts because the muslims do it too.
In 1 Corinthians Ch. 11 vs. 5, it says that a women that doesn't cover her head dishonoureth her head. It says that it is the same as if she were to shave her head. In vs. 15, it goes on to say, but if a women have long hair, it is a glory to her because it is given to her as a covering. I wear skirts to be modest and i believe that by keeping my hair uncut, it is my covering.
@Sunshine4JesusChrist you have interpreted this wrong. The man is the covering of the woman you must submit to your father if you are unmarried untill you get married. Read it again. Before v 5 it talks about the man being the head. The reason I brought this up in the video was because of the religious interpretaions given about womens clothee. So I gave a different interpretation of the coverings that many have but choose to ignore.
I threw away all my slacks several years back...just on my own, because i was tired of seeing women dressed like men,..sometimes not telling them apart! I even saw a "father" of 2 teen age children who was dressed in a skirt, heels, jewelry, make-up standing in the gricery line next to his WIFE! Dear Lord, what are we doing to our children!!! It's high time for women to start dressing and acting like women,,..as goes for the men out there who wish to look and dress like women! Horrible!

In bibical days the men wore something like a long tunic wrapped shawl garment that looks like a long gown are dress.. so i don't think a female wearing feminine slacks and blouse. is sinful and that's all i wanted to say.

Another thing I wanted to point out is that women's and men's slacks are different in size as well as in style. Women's slacks are made to look feminine, whereas men's slacks are built to look masculine. The same would be true in men's and women's skirts. Since the skirt is the traditional clothing for women as well as for men, the Biblical understanding would be to wear a women's pair of pants if you are a woman. If you are a man and want to wear a kilt, wear a masculine one.

For most of the years in my life I wore slacks, till one day, I just went into my bedroom and removed all my slacks and discarded them.From then (12 yrs ago) to present i only wear dresses or skirts. Women need to start looking like women again. Slacks have made women look and act more masculine

The last sentence of that chapter reads, "NO MAN SHALL TAKE HIS FATHER'S WIFE, NOR REMOVE HIS COVERING." Now, ..PROVE TO US THAT YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO INTERPRET THE BIBLE FOR US, AND THAT YOUR INTERPRETATIONS WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE.?

First off I will tell you this I don't have to prove anything to you at all, but you are in definite error in this verse it does say "skirt" infact in many other verses in the Bible it calls male garments skirts not just in this one any ways the Hebrew word used is "kanaph" translated skirt The hebrew word for covering is "mikceh" this word is not found in this verse in the original hebrew scripture. Now if this was an issue of modesty then I can understand why you choose to wear skirts

And even if it was covering, which it is not, the fact of the matter is that Hebrew men did wear skirts you cannot deny this historical fact. That was disignated men's skirts at the time. And I am human I am able to make mistakes which is way the Holy Spirit helps me and it is impossible for me to always be accurate, but I know I am not wrong in this. But I have nothing to prove to anyone here.

The historical and Biblical example of clothing for men has been short dresses or tunics, and skirts. I know you think dresses are traditionally feminine, but in actuality, they are the traditional dress for men as well as women. Perhaps men should go back to wearing skirts, as the apostles did.

The word of God is the final authority. Exodus 28:42, Leviticus 6:10, and Ezekiel 44:18 show us that the anointed priest, who were all men, wore linen breeches/trousers under their garments to cover their nakedness. Clearly pants were men's clothing. Women in the US did not begin to wear pants until after the feminist movement, which some women out of rebellion started to do becasue they wanted "to wear the pants" in the house, having equality with their husbands and all other men

Ley me tell u my story. Ive bin apostolic since i was 7. Then my parents stopped goin to church. When i was 15, i went on my own. Believe me, if u'd known me b4, u'd neve guess that i'd turn to skirts. I didn't even wear a skirt 4 8th gd. Graduation. As i got closer to God, i noticed how tight my pants were and how low my shirts were. When i came to school, every1 was so surprised. Im definetely not saying that pants r wrong, it's a personal conviction.

I've heard ur opinions on makeup and apparel and i agree that most people, when they come into the church are turned off because of these high standards. However, if we, as Christians, conform ourselves to the world, wearing makeup and following the "modern fashions" then how is God's glory gonna shine through us? God tells us to set ourselves apart from the world. We must shine as a light on a hill.

I totally agree with u. However, if a woman is wearing really tight jeans, like the one's that are popular nowadays, and tons of makeup, are people gonna know that they are a christian? When i wear skirts i feel as if im set apart from the world, that people will automatically know there's something different about me becuz im modest. The way i look at it is by striving so deeply to make urself look better, such as with makeup and revealing clothes, it shows vanity and God speaks against that.

wearing pants does not mean that I am dressed inmodestly. In school people knew that I was different because the Spirit of God lives inside me. A sister that I once knew told me she was in an area where there was a drag queen and the man came up to her and said there is just something about you like there is a light that surrounds you my sister in Christ answered it's the Holy Spirit. People are not going to notice your Christian because you chose to wear skirts because the muslims do it too.

In 1 Corinthians Ch. 11 vs. 5, it says that a women that doesn't cover her head dishonoureth her head. It says that it is the same as if she were to shave her head. In vs. 15, it goes on to say, but if a women have long hair, it is a glory to her because it is given to her as a covering. I wear skirts to be modest and i believe that by keeping my hair uncut, it is my covering.

@Sunshine4JesusChrist you have interpreted this wrong. The man is the covering of the woman you must submit to your father if you are unmarried untill you get married. Read it again. Before v 5 it talks about the man being the head. The reason I brought this up in the video was because of the religious interpretaions given about womens clothee. So I gave a different interpretation of the coverings that many have but choose to ignore.

I threw away all my slacks several years back...just on my own, because i was tired of seeing women dressed like men,..sometimes not telling them apart! I even saw a "father" of 2 teen age children who was dressed in a skirt, heels, jewelry, make-up standing in the gricery line next to his WIFE! Dear Lord, what are we doing to our children!!! It's high time for women to start dressing and acting like women,,..as goes for the men out there who wish to look and dress like women! Horrible!
