Budgies have their own individual nature so some are easier to tame than others. Usually I think it's never too late to tame them if you offer enough time and support for them. I've seen a 3 year old budgie gradually adjust to handling and bond with a new owner (his name was Rocky, you'll find him on youtube his owner's username is gumleyboy and knows loads about this sort of thing).
best tip i could say is move to a place like WA where it is stupidly hot! put a dish in the cage with water and eventually they get in off their own bat. replace the dish with the sink and viola!
aww i want to tame mine but i had them for a couple of months is it to to late to tame?

that's so cool! my dads budgie (r.i.p.) absolutely hated baths... we would have to practically force him to take one! so typical of most young boys!

thats odd? most budgies love em! petrol was right into it as you can see! (then again it was pretty damn hot in WA!)

very cute! I like the way you change your voice I guess this is why he makes different talking and sounds?

yeah as much as petrol was a nutter, i was a nutter before him, and so anything he saw myself do i guess he imitated it!

move to perth, get really hot, provide a running tap - let nature do the rest!

I love this. How did you get Petrol started with doing this? I tried it with Sparkie yesterday, but he wasn't impressed.
