i thought the machines were supposed to be the same weight? the popo has like 150 lbs on the kawi, and that was no 150 lbs on that front rack of that kawi, it didnt even notice the weight, those springs arent that strong, and whats with all the weight on the outlander? its just about as heavy as the popo, another pile of crap!! and once you blow the tires off, torque isnt the main test its tires having enough traction, and next to honda, kawi has garbage for tires!!
me and my buddies did pulls at a party i have the outlander 500 i pulled the polaris 500 only about a foot once out of about 5 pulls the rest neither of us moved and my other buddy has the new 700 griz and neither of us moved at all just sunk in the dirt but i did have to pull him out of the holes he dug himself into cause he couldnt get out of them
its business. ITS ALL RIGGED. Polaris riggs theirs, can am riggs theirs. they push you toward the spots where they excel. they are both awesome quads.
Because Honda is pretty much a different category of ATV here. They werent meant for heavy towing due to their Hydraulic Transmission, lighter weight and smaller engine design. A battle between the Sportsman 800 EFI and Brute Force 750 EFI should be done.
i would like to see where my '93 suzuki king quad would fit in there. lol it would probably do better than the honda because it has way lower gearing than any of those quads.
I really think its funny when the 450 Kodiak out muscle's the outlander 400 and they make it sound like for some reason it doesn't count or that it was really no big deal. But when the big bore outlander out muscle's the competition by just a few feet it's like a new discovery in science.
yeah grizzly would have put up a better fight but the new can-am is pretty sweet. How about putting hte new arctic cat up there too? 1000cc v-twin? Shazam
I've had so much trouble with my CanAm800. At 6 months the engine blew and had to be rebuilt. The front springs collapsed. The winch had to be replaced. The transmission housing leaked water causing the belt to slip. Then the transmission stopped shifting later and now my ATV is in the shop getting a new clutch because it locked up a few weeks ago. Although the warranty is 3 yrs I still have to pay a $50 dectable for each incident. They're fun and fast but unreliable.
Im pretty sure they rigged this test so the outlander would win the most. My kawi 650 would beat my sportsman 800 in a sled pull, even though the polaris is heavier and bigger. I dont know how, but it happened.
and just to say 4wd wouldnt matter on the rancher weight gets shifted to the rear wile accelerateing and doesnt give n e more tourque just adds grip and rear tires werent spinning it shows accuracy showing the can am 400 didnt beat the 450 kodiak
Every day i go out and make couple miles sled pull, this is the true usage of atv

For one thing. I've ridden honda for long time. Soon as I heard/saw the Honda pull. The first the thing that was wrong was HE WASN'T IN FIRST GEAR!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Why don't they show the Polaris 850XP. It would show that outlander up. The regular sportsmans got way more than what it shows. POLARIS RULES!!!!

wow the kawasaki beat the polaris? i did not expect that (in the 800)
and 800 max outlander with 2 people had more grip cause additional weight in front of rear drive axel
