That is a beautiful sound. I have an 07 Viffer and the thought often pases my mind to get some aftermarket cans on there. How much did they set you back? I've looked at Staintunes but keeping my mind open to other brands. Awesome, awesome note there.
I just bought this exact bike with that exact exhaust. Looking forward to checking it out. Funny thing I noticed already though is the steering feels like its out a bit even though it seems to be dead straight when I get off and look at it. Have you found a sense that your left arm is slightly in front of your right at all or is it just me?
Mate - I have had to '09 model for about 7 mths. I also had the allignment problem. I took it in for the first service and got them to check it - it was out.
ive had blades a honda firestorm, just bought a brand new 2007 vfr 800 vtec, from a dealer paid £6,800 sterling, absaloute stomping bike, just wish i had bought one years ago.nice sound, got to get me some of those pipes.
Note to Mickster: Noise is not speed. There's nothing like a crackling pipe to get the neighbors worked up and the cops on your tail. My stock/quiet exhaust lets me... "have more fun". If you're good, you're already the fastest thing on the road - what's the problem?
I went for the VFR because it looks like a beast, but has a civilized character. I can ride it on the VTEC when I'm late or just cruise around town. With traffic the way it is in DC, it's the fastest way to get there.
Black 2002, 9000 miles, rear fender deleted (like everyone else). I also have a Z28 and a Corvette, but the VFR is my 1st choice, weather and passengers permitting.
hi, thanks for asking, i have ridden 450 km ( 280 miles)in one day on this bike and haven't felt to sore afterwards, the bike is easy and comfortable to ride but it really comes down to what it is compared to, defiantly would cover the miles better than a full sports bike but then again against say a Honda goldwing i suppose the vfr looks more like a sports bike, I bought the bike more for a bit more comfort but still capable to go around corners at reasonable speeds for a bit of fun
no worries, i am also tall 6'2" and dont have a problem with this bike it suits my size, i also bought it because from what i have seen there is good demand for this model when the time comes to sell, nothing worse than spending months on end tryng to off load a car , bike or any thing for that matter that no one wants and when you do ge a buyer they can and do screw you down on price.
if you could play this clip with the bass turned up full,it is slightly louder but you get that thumping sound, especially at idle and lower rev range.cheers
Yes. Yes. and Yes. I just felt my saturday night parts tingle

Are these pipes round or oval? im looking for round pipes for my 2003 vfr 800. if they are round, were did you get them. please help!

Thank you for creating this comparison. I have a 2006 - looks exactly like yours (black with gunmetal wheels).
I soon with have the same aluminum Leo Vince at my doorstep. Are you using the baffles in this video?
Either way they sound great! Thanks again for creating/sharing - it's very helpful.

No, there's something wrong with it. Perhaps it's had a low speed drop and knocked the alignment out slightly.

whats your opinion on the VFRs as a touring bike? in your opinion, would the seating position be suited to longer distance touring do ya think?

Why does honda restrict up their pipes so much? Japs r fucking dickheads.
mickster907 4 years ago
Because there are noise requirements that they have to abide by.

Take the baffles out of the exhaust for a better , deeper sound. I did and what a difference

check your clutch. doesn't look like its completely disengaging ;)

No need to check your clutch. The back wheel spinning in neutral is completely normal. Nothing to worry about
