this is one of priest's signature songs, along with dissident aggressor, the ripper, victim of changes, sinner, exciter,the rage, dreamer deceiver, green manalishi, etc. their early stuff is so much better than their more mainstream later material, it's not even funny. easily one of the best metal ballads of all time, and a live show-stopper for years. and yes, halford still has it!
He's old, his face naturally withers with age, but I love his enthusiasm and stage presence. Simply put, he's still an entertaining frontman. Priest forever!

It depends what kind of metal you prefer trash(Metallica) or heavy(Priest) however when I saw Hetfield laughing at Halfords voice breathing helium I think that Metallica is far less talented band than Priest, mainly vocally due to fact that Hetfield is a lead singer/guitarist at the time so at live performarce he sometimes sings careless, slapdash whatever you want to name it. So don't only blame it on the stylistics of thrash metal.

this is one of priest's signature songs, along with dissident aggressor, the ripper, victim of changes, sinner, exciter,the rage, dreamer deceiver, green manalishi, etc. their early stuff is so much better than their more mainstream later material, it's not even funny. easily one of the best metal ballads of all time, and a live show-stopper for years. and yes, halford still has it!

It depends what kind of metal you prefer trash(Metallica) or heavy(Priest) however when I saw Hetfield laughing at Halfords voice breathing helium I think that Metallica is far less talented band than Priest, mainly vocally due to fact that Hetfield is a lead singer/guitarist at the time so at live performarce he sometimes sings careless, slapdash whatever you want to name it. So don't only blame it on the stylistics of thrash metal.

@leunamme888 First of all Hetfield was joking, and second Metallica has branched out so far over the years with everything from - The Four Horsemen , to Fade to Black, to Master of Puppets, to One , to The Unforgiving , and even in recent years Suicide and Redemption, while Priest for decades and decades has been the same shit, everything from Halford's over screaming to the guitarist's basic riffs,licks, and solos. Rob has an incredible and unique voice, while -in my opinion- Hetfield has a more commonly heard type of voice.
