It's very easy to condemn someone like Mr Langham out of hand, based on society's view of pedophilia, which is rightfully extremely negative. It's such an emotive issue, one that can mean his entire (and often great) body of work is ignored because of what appears to be an isolated case. And his case seems somewhat different to any I've heard. I dunno...hard to say, but I personally can't say 'No more Chris Langham' because of it.
@spaceoreo Hating people for merely being pedophiles is another example of how societys norms are so fucked up because its another "its my or the wrong way". While acting on the fantasy of a pedophile is wrong because in itself is predatory behavior the fantasies a pedophile has is beyond his control and not wrong. Like anything else it is a sexual fetish, so is rape, but that is not wrong until you go and force your will onto somebody else. People need to intelligently approach these things.
@spaceoreo If R Kelly can get away with producing actual child porn, being convicted in court for it, without being dropped by his record label then Langham deserves a second chance. He really was at his peak, this and the superb Help in the same year, when the whole thing blew up.
