@filmgwar don't quote me on this, but it's my understanding that the police can arrest and hold people for 24 hours without charging them with a crime. If the police are not reading you your rights that's probably what they're doing. If there's no crime and you have no existing warrants they have to let you go. Occupiers out there, be outraged, but know the legal system when you plan to get arrested!

@filmgwar don't quote me on this, but it's my understanding that the police can arrest and hold people for 24 hours without charging them with a crime. If the police are not reading you your rights that's probably what they're doing. If there's no crime and you have no existing warrants they have to let you go. Occupiers out there, be outraged, but know the legal system when you plan to get arrested!
