@MegaGlassguy nah hes not tht good. decent at best but he made too many mistakes. my fastest time on here is 2:34 with an "S" ofc. Sonic Unleashed lets u get S rank too easily imo but to the casual player maybe not. the achievement for this map is called "Speeding Ticket" which is to beat Arid Sands in under 2:50. after practicing nonstop for every stage and getting all S including the DLC stages which are EXTREMELY hard anyone can do this stage in under 2:40. keep up the practice tho man ^_^

@MegaGlassguy i know its not just about time but thts the point of Sonic games man. Speed runs. if u want an S rank then thts simple also. while getting a good time just combo all enemies and make no mistakes on the trick jumps. also make sure to have a nice ring count. S rank is a breeze for this game. i wish they made some better achievements like getting S rank on every stage/act etc. already did those myself including the DLC stages but at least they wouldnt be so easy =/

Actually this level is'nt that hard!! There's this mission where you have to rescue that tomboy Yasmin (think thats her name) in under 2:00 min's on shamar day stage!! That stage sucked major balls!!! ( I lost 50 lives on that mission -:( ) but other than that, this stage is fun!

Old School sonic games were never "fast". They moved at a constant pace, but they rarely were fast. Play one again if you dont believe me.

Sonic Games became garbage when Sonic Team decided the games were all about SPEED and not PLATFORMING, which is what Sonic mainly was.

Sonic Unleashed is simply the first game Sonic Team has done to correctly make sonic about SPEED more than anything else. Every game before this has failed. However, werefag killed everything they earned with daytime lvls.

Before you make that u-turn at 0:29, if you drift just right, there are dash panels that take you through the building really quickly, that should shave a few seconds off your time. Too bad its hard as hell to get it sometimes though.
