If you don't deal with your own problems, who will? You need to straighten up your own problems before you can help other people with theirs. Her saying, if you're hurt help someone else's hurt, is really just saying, ignore the terrible state of things and focus on the positive side (a mindless faith in the future (without drastic change.) How many of these grads are intelligent enough to read between the lines?

This is vaguely pathetic. Everyone wearing medieval academic attire in a country that is three-hundred years old, where ties to the origin of that tradition were bloodily severed in revolution. Now, in 2008, in antiquated robes, everyone sits around what appears to be some kind of sporting stadium, and looks frightfully scholarly.

@arKvaio17 There is a wisdom that comes along with age. Even if you might not like the person or you think that person is not as intelligent as you... you have to respect the fact that they had lived more than you. Therefore, they have more life experience and probably know a lot more than you think you do. Where you are going, they have already gone and come back.
