great stuff...have I mentioned being jealous of all your cool locales? I'm sure I've got some around here...you've inspired me to think about thinking about finding one.
@FromUnderTheRock Ha, thanks. Google maps+Web-search= how I find stuff like this place. The city is loaded with places I want to check out, primarily at night. You would be in content heaven.
@drewnetwork I know, I know. I put my 85mm on a slider, two times even. With horrible results of course. I wish there was a lens with less focal length that does what that 85mm does. My 20mm is nice. That 85mm is something else though.
@kookiemoose The expensive answer is the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AI-S. Another answer is the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AI-S. Same focal length as your Canon, but the color rendition will more closely match the 85 f/2. Or, if you want something closer to a 50mm on a full frame, look into the Nikkor 35mm (focal length) lenses. The 35mm f/1.4 AI-S looks nice, but I haven't tested it as yet. You can also look at the cheaper plastic "D" f/2 lenses, or even the Canon offerings if you'd like to have autofocus.
I had to watch this one the big screen TV!!! GREAT!!!!!!!!

That scared the crap out of me! I kept waiting for Kevin Costner to pop up. How did you do those sliding pans?
edtomorrow 3 months ago
@edtomorrow HaHa! yea I kind of figured that the one part of the music track might get a rise out of a few people.
Google" kessler crane pocket dolly". It should help answer your question on sliding pans.
