@MrEdddY07 If you have a good gaming setup, use vsync so you get your frames locked at a good rate. if you frames jump from 30 to 60 to 120 to 60 to 20 it's gonna screw up the visuals and be annoying. You wouldn't use vsync if your system is struggling to power the game

@316lga well you have the bare minimum for the cpu, and a good decent amount of ram, windows xp is good too. and your video card is okay, but depends on what you have the video settings at because an 8400 isn't really too much for gaming. when i changed my video card from internal graphics, i saw a huge boost so it may just be the video card but a new and faster cpu also helps too.

@Gangsta4Lives you could overclock the processor .buy 2 gb more of ram , a gts 450 or gtx 460 ,Ati 6950(any higher is really unnecessary for non-3d vision pcs )...If u hav nt yet gt rid f te crd then best thing 2 do is sav money on te card by buying an ati card and buy a new motherboard.with 2 PCI slots and using prev card oly 4 physx .Finally upgrade ur computer to windows 7 gets about 10% frame rates Do all this and u can play <95% of games on maxed settings hehehe

sometimes things are just messed up, I don't know how to explain it. When I had the 9500, I could barely play mercenaries 2 on lowest settings but cards below mine could play it on high. It's murphy's law in action

@Pascalbollmann dude maybe ur laptop is messed up, try upgrading all the BIOS drivers, my old pc used 9500gt, dual core 2.5mghz 4200+, with 2gb ram, all my games ran perfectly until one time where they all started lagging, i reinstalled windows, it still continued to lag, and then my whole pc compleatly crashed, so i had to get a new one

@Pascalbollmann it's just that laptos can't run all the games unless u have a gaming laptop, but even with that super laptop u can only play it for just 3-4 hours coz it starts to warm, u know ur laptop. In other word, laptops cant stand high requirement games as a good gaming desktop. i have my desktop with a GPU 8600GT 512MB n i can run NFS MW in full ghrapics without lags.

Well a 9800 is obviously better then a 8800 but the suffixs are different (m, gs, gt, gtx, gx2, gtx+, gtx2 etc.) will make an 8800 better than a 9800 depending on what it is. But 9800s are a lot newer and are very fast, not as fast as the gtx series (280, 285, 295) but they will play games on max settings, minus crysis turned down some.

9800gt isn't too much, the card I have now, a radeon hd 4830 is better then a 9800gt and costs less. The gtx 295 costs a lot more

I don't have the card anymore. I do know that some games will only play on low if they installed with an error, it's happened to me, had to play Mercenaries two on extreme low settings when it could be played on max with a lesser card. If you search prototype 9500 in youtube, youll see it can do max, probably could be your cpu.

360 can only go 1080i, ps3 is the one that supports 1080p. the game only plays in 1080i if you have an HDMI cable. 720p is default.

Well not always, like the cards are overlapped. A 9500 is three times stronger then an 8500, but not as strong as an 8600. A 9600 is three times stronger then a 8600 but not as strong as a 9800. And a 9800 is three times stronger then a 8800. Etc & etc.

You can play games pretty good with the card, the CPU is what is most important. The reason PS3 or x360 do not have games like crysis is because the graphics card cannot support it to its full extent. I can play crysis and gta 4 on the card just fine.
