the mexican shoemaker is a pretty humble guy...he doesn't openly bash chinese manufacturing like the white guy does...you just can't compare English shoes with Chinese Kenneth Coles...completely different customer base, different price points, and different materials...
Decent video on the whole--nice job. I'm not sure that wax polishes are such a bad thing, though: they're composed of a pretty oily wax designed specifically to moisturize leather shoes. My experience is that the cream polishes are maybe a little more moist and come in far more colours, but the wax polishes produce a slightly brighter shine. In the end, I'd recommend either as a perfectly valid choice.
A blazer and odd trousers is not a suit indeed. I stand by the statement that a button down is perfectly acceptable for an american to wear in that context.
An easier way to tie you shoes properly if you've been doing it backwards for years, is to just do the very first step backwards from how you have been, and then do the second part your normal way.
I agree that good pair of shoes is a good investment... rather than going for quantity, i'd go for 2 or 3 high quality shoes I can wear for many years...
yesss it's here! Great job Jesse and co.! Is there a specific reason why you guys use Vimeo? If you posted solely on YouTube I'm pretty sure you guys would be able to get a partnership, then ad revenue and more exposure.

Loved watching this one, because Willie's is my shoe repair place, and Raul is my guy! The only thing missing was Shiny the store cat.
Looking forward to Raul's new venture, Don Ville Shoes - ready-to-wear and bespoke shoes.

why the hell are you wearing a button down shirt with a tie?

@dustdust7
because he's in America and buttondown collars are acceptable as long as you're not wearing a suit?

@MrJahka
well, he actually is wearing a suit. ;)
in addition, just stop your video @ 2:58 and you will see what i mean.

I was so excited about the shoe-tying tip that I ran and tried it, only to find out I've always been doing it correctly. Life same. :-(
