i thot the circus was a metaphor for miku's state of mind, the two headed person representing the split personality. miku symbolizing the sane and suffering side kaito symbolizing the inhuman, cold blooded side the whole wanting to die thing being the only way of escaping from it... i cant remember who thot of that
