thats impressive man i got 305 x2 i had a injury deep cut in my arm right were it moves all the time by the pit so i had to recover from that a while but most i ever got was 320 for 1 ur doing 305 like its feathers nice job again
Doesn't that grip effect your wrist? Whenever I benched with that grip my wrist hurt so bad I couldn't curl at all. And how old are you? I'm 19 and weigh 205 and I could only bench 305 twice.
No, not at all...I find it quite a bit more comfortable on my wrists than using a full grip. I am 32 and I have been using this grip for 20 years without any type of wrist pains.
305 lbs x 2 is a great bench for a 19 year old...keep at it bro.
How many reps you do of 305? I ask because I think I am the same build as you. 6'2 200 lb 24ys . You play any running sports? I have a huge hamstring injury from the transition of lifting weights in the winter to running hard (soccer) in the spring/summer. I seem to be pulling my hamstring almost every game. The other problem is I can't gain anymore weight in the summer due to so much running. Anyways hit me back with ur thoughts
Thanks man...false grip is just the way I have always benched. Just feels better to me (grew up training more like a bodybuilder, rather than a powerlifter).
fucking AWESOME!!!!! please tell me how you train eat and sleep! Seriously! I want to do that too! good luck with your next step, I bet you can already press 3 plates for a few reps.
Ha, ha, ha...thanks man...I appreciate that comment. I don't do much special...I just eat normal meals and try to get as much rest as possible (i.e. I am pretty lazy!).
I have done 3 plates (i.e. 315 lbs) for 8 reps, but my goal is to hit 10 reps.
You should check out Westside Barbell's website as they have tons of training articles that you could learn from. That's what I have been doing...

@BRETZERR suicide grip? what if it slips off ur hand

@AndyAngelZ
A false-grip is used by many, many powerlifters/bodybuilders bro....it's just as safe as the normal thumbs-around grip. But thanks for the concern.

I am 5'10" and 205 lbs. Sometimes I do two sets of the same weight as my workset and other times it's one (sometimes 3). It varies all the time...

Nothing wrong with 295 for 4 reps bro...keep at it and you'll get there.
