This was a decent Mania. It is COMPLETELY overrated though when I actually looked at it again. I use to think it was the 4th best Mania, but then when you take in account that 5 out of 12 matches were actually worth watching and had a happy ending, most people would say its the an amazing show.

@FutureWHC Austin got involved, which ruined it. Both men figured they fuck the fans over with a shitty match since Lesnar was going to the NFL and Goldberg was leaving.
My first PPV ever and boy was it a let down. Crusierweight challenge lasted 5 minutes, title never changed hands. Both tag champs retained. Goldberg vs Lesnar spent more time staring each other down than actually wrestling. Our friends were hoping Vintage Taker would return, but he didn't return with his vintage-ware. Playboy evening-gown match was just a regular lingerie match, nothing special. Weak....
@zardcat1111 : Taker would have looked super corny if he wore his original attire. He needed to come back as a hybrid of American Badass, and original Taker. The Playboy Evening Gown match was of course just going to be fanservice. What do you think? Goldberg, and Lesnar was no excuse. Those bastards screwed you guys over. I'm sorry man. The rest of the card though was good. Nothing can top Benoit vs. HBK vs. HHH in my book when it comes to WM main events.
@ErikPaulsonFan Compare to the last 6 manias after this one. This was the last great mania. Second wm19 was almost as good as 17 but it the TLCII mathc put it over in my view.

Aside from Rock/Austin III, Mania 19 sucked. I know you're going to say Lesnar/Angle was greater than the second coming, but I don't think it was that great.
@ErikPaulsonFan : You gotta be kidding me. Mania 19 was the best WM Wrestling wise. All the matches except for the Playboy Pillow Fight beat out WM X7. However, WM X7 is the best WrestleMania when it comes to the entertainment value. You can show that WM to anyone, and they won't get bored. WM19, is for the hardcore fan, and WMX7 is for everyone. People who are casual fans. That was the best thing about X7.
@ErikPaulsonFan : How am I an idiot if I'm stating the truth? WM 19 was the best Wrestling match wise, and WMX7, entertainment wise. It's that simple, and it's logical. WM19 obviously can't be shown to a casual fan because their not into actual wrestling. WMX7 however can be shown to them because it has hardcore matches, and Rock/Austin which is a brawl for somewhat of the match. To me, WM 19 was certainly the best when it comes to wrestling.
@Notebookwriter1 19's matches weren't anything to write home about. Angle/Lesnar wasn't as great as you think it is. Austin/Rock 3 was ok, but done better at 17. Hogan/Vince wasn't anything special. Neither was HHH/Booker T.
At 17, you had the fun Vince/Shane, the awesome TLC match, the awesome HHH/Taker match, and the INCREDIBLE Rock/Austin 2.
@ErikPaulsonFan I guess you just aren't a fan of pure wrestling when it comes to Angle vs. Lesnar. That was amazing. Vince vs. Hogan was a fun Hardcore match, and HHH vs. Booker T was going good, but the ending was bad, and made Booker look weak. Austin vs. Rock was good to, plus you got Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, A good women's match, Good Cruiserweight opener match, and a good fast fun Tag Team match. Yes, WMX7 has more entertainment, but X7 is more of a spotfest show, but great.

WM20 gave us the triple threat match for the world title. But it also gave an underated y2j/christain match. and Eddie vs Angel. And the return of the Dark Undertaker.

The return of Undertaker was what I wanted to see the most, and it was AWESOME, but the match sucked. Goldberg/Lesnar's crowd reaction was AWESOME, but the match sucked. Watching Trish turn heel and Christian getting the win at Mania was AWESOME, but the match was ok. And so on.
19 was ok, but it wasn't great. Perhaps I'm biased because the era I love is over, but nothing beats 17.

@AalTheEarl Ultimo Dragon was a mexico and japanese wrestler. Held multiple titles all over the world. Held around 8 at one time while working in WCW. But Vince McMahon being the man he is, brought a great wrestler in and buried him since Vince didn't "make" him
They could have added Piper as Rock and Foley's partner. They could have at least threw in how Piper managed his father and how much they both are a disgrace. Plus Piper would have been the only man to be part of all three MSG venued Wrestlemania in one form or another. I don't know why they didn't.
Wrestlemania 17 was definately the best of all-time, but this was still pretty memorable. I think 19 and 21 were better though. However, XX had one of the best main events I've seen in a while (triple threat match).
I always thought that Wrestlemania 20 had the best line up.. but this year, I don't know.. Mania' 20 has some competition this year, Wrestlemania 26 looks amazing.

Because at the time, Lesnar was leaving for the NFL to be a part of the Minnesota Vikings, so he wasn't going to risk his body by wrestling before competing in another highly physical sport. That was why the match looked like that. It was all on Lesnar. He just wasn't cooperating that night. Goldberg actually tried his best to get a good match, or a match at all out of Lesnar.
Both men were leaving the company, and not only did the fans unmercifully harass them, I think they may have been "set up to fail" by the WWE brass. Goldberg has referred to this match as "a public execution".
@zardcat1111 : Yeah, I'm sure you can still find time to watch some of the past WM's in between bangin your girlfriend and that. Honestly, each even is only 4 fucking hours long. Make it a party. OR bang your girlfriend while your watching it. Trust me, it's not that hard to bang your girlfriend while watching WM. IT was a pretty cool experience.

@Frostbite12211983 because i fuckin do. its my opinion... i saw wrestlemania 20 and then i saw wrestlemania 21 and it just didnt feel the same.. i didnt like it as much as before. and wwe pretty much got worse after wrestlemania 20. some examples: eddie passed away and so did benoit, jim ross and jerry lawler arent together on commentary anymore; and in my opinion those two together on comm. was the best thing ever. and now that cenas in charge and wwe is PG, it will basically always suck.
I asked you that question with the utmost respect, so why are you being so rude? And anyway, when everything was right about the WWE in your eyes, did you ever pay any mind to what the rating was? It wasn't always TV-14. During its highest point, it was actually PG, and it was still entertaining people. People act as though it's rated TV-G or TV-Y7. You just have to come to the realization that wrestlers are going to die at some point and people will quit or be released. That's how it is.

@Bucs6817 It was better than the last 6 Manias (though I believe 22 was better; only HHH/HBK/Benoit was good, IMO), but that doesn't mean it was the "last great Mania."
Aside from Rock/Austin III, Mania 19 sucked. I know you're going to say Lesnar/Angle was greater than the second coming, but I don't think it was that great.
X-Seven was gold.

@ErikPaulsonFan : You gotta be kidding me. Mania 19 was the best WM Wrestling wise. All the matches except for the Playboy Pillow Fight beat out WM X7. However, WM X7 is the best WrestleMania when it comes to the entertainment value. You can show that WM to anyone, and they won't get bored. WM19, is for the hardcore fan, and WMX7 is for everyone. People who are casual fans. That was the best thing about X7.

@ErikPaulsonFan : How am I an idiot if I'm stating the truth? WM 19 was the best Wrestling match wise, and WMX7, entertainment wise. It's that simple, and it's logical. WM19 obviously can't be shown to a casual fan because their not into actual wrestling. WMX7 however can be shown to them because it has hardcore matches, and Rock/Austin which is a brawl for somewhat of the match. To me, WM 19 was certainly the best when it comes to wrestling.

@Notebookwriter1 19's matches weren't anything to write home about. Angle/Lesnar wasn't as great as you think it is. Austin/Rock 3 was ok, but done better at 17. Hogan/Vince wasn't anything special. Neither was HHH/Booker T.
At 17, you had the fun Vince/Shane, the awesome TLC match, the awesome HHH/Taker match, and the INCREDIBLE Rock/Austin 2.

@ErikPaulsonFan I guess you just aren't a fan of pure wrestling when it comes to Angle vs. Lesnar. That was amazing. Vince vs. Hogan was a fun Hardcore match, and HHH vs. Booker T was going good, but the ending was bad, and made Booker look weak. Austin vs. Rock was good to, plus you got Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho, A good women's match, Good Cruiserweight opener match, and a good fast fun Tag Team match. Yes, WMX7 has more entertainment, but X7 is more of a spotfest show, but great.

@ErikPaulsonFan haha i respect that your a smart wrestling fan like myself. But Jericho/HBK was great at wm19 so was booker t vs hhh and vince and hogan was also good especially for there age.
WM20 gave us the triple threat match for the world title. But it also gave an underated y2j/christain match. and Eddie vs Angel. And the return of the Dark Undertaker.

@Bucs6817 Hey man, I was looking forward to both Wrestlemanias just as much as you were, if not more.
The return of Undertaker was what I wanted to see the most, and it was AWESOME, but the match sucked. Goldberg/Lesnar's crowd reaction was AWESOME, but the match sucked. Watching Trish turn heel and Christian getting the win at Mania was AWESOME, but the match was ok. And so on.
19 was ok, but it wasn't great. Perhaps I'm biased because the era I love is over, but nothing beats 17.

They could have added Piper as Rock and Foley's partner. They could have at least threw in how Piper managed his father and how much they both are a disgrace. Plus Piper would have been the only man to be part of all three MSG venued Wrestlemania in one form or another. I don't know why they didn't.

Wrestlemania 17 was definately the best of all-time, but this was still pretty memorable. I think 19 and 21 were better though. However, XX had one of the best main events I've seen in a while (triple threat match).

Because at the time, Lesnar was leaving for the NFL to be a part of the Minnesota Vikings, so he wasn't going to risk his body by wrestling before competing in another highly physical sport. That was why the match looked like that. It was all on Lesnar. He just wasn't cooperating that night. Goldberg actually tried his best to get a good match, or a match at all out of Lesnar.

Both men were leaving the company, and not only did the fans unmercifully harass them, I think they may have been "set up to fail" by the WWE brass. Goldberg has referred to this match as "a public execution".

@Frostbite12211983 because i fuckin do. its my opinion... i saw wrestlemania 20 and then i saw wrestlemania 21 and it just didnt feel the same.. i didnt like it as much as before. and wwe pretty much got worse after wrestlemania 20. some examples: eddie passed away and so did benoit, jim ross and jerry lawler arent together on commentary anymore; and in my opinion those two together on comm. was the best thing ever. and now that cenas in charge and wwe is PG, it will basically always suck.

I asked you that question with the utmost respect, so why are you being so rude? And anyway, when everything was right about the WWE in your eyes, did you ever pay any mind to what the rating was? It wasn't always TV-14. During its highest point, it was actually PG, and it was still entertaining people. People act as though it's rated TV-G or TV-Y7. You just have to come to the realization that wrestlers are going to die at some point and people will quit or be released. That's how it is.
