I bought this off Amazon, and my packaging is different...
There isn't a clear plastic slipcase.
And on the inside, the credits are on the cover, the silver parts, and on the back in stead of Megatron's face, it's just the disc info and Shia Labeouf.
Oh well, the insides are the same and that's what mattered to me, plus for 16.99 it was a good deal.
Did U buy it new? Or a second party that re shrink wrapped it ppl on amazon do it. I have it on HDDVD and it's incredible! and B4 anybody wants to fight I have a Blu Ray player also The HD DVD was just the lower price format :)

Hmm apparently there will be a director's cut release of Transformers that will come out a bit before the second Transformers movies releases

2 disc version. It's exactly the same, just without the slipcover.
I think I know what happened.
Amazon probably sent me a copy for rental stores.
It's exactly the same inside so I'm fine now.
But I'm going to be careful buying NEW from Amazon.
