If the person of the Son is eternal God than He cannot die and lie in sheol for three days. If Jesus is fully 100% man and 100% God, then He did not fully die. If Jesus did not die, there is no redemption.
Systamatic Theology is taking the Bible as a whole and dealing with verses which support the Trinity. Historical Theology may use Syatamatic Theology but uses what others have said about the subject as well.

Careful though...Systematical (depending on what system) Theology can be used to devise almost any type of doctrine.
