Love Tommy, Love Whos Next, Love the early pop, Love Quadrophenia, think its an absolutely stunning piece of music, and the film is brutally on the mark about what it's like to be an adolescent male. It was just too much for a one-hit world.

You are just a post effect gobshite. You lost the plot when the serious rock bands came along. You were not the best - never were really it was all music press hype. The shame is you were very,very, very good in the mid 1960's for what you did then. What you did afterwards was just trying to disguise the fact that you could not continue it and most people realised it.

@fenlandfolly What in earth are you talking you moronic cretin? Quadrophenia is truly one of the best albums of the 20th Century, and definitely my favourite of all time. Pete has always stated that the reason the band evolved so much was that he wanted to avoid becoming a circus act. And 'most people realise it'? Clearly not, it's hailed by MANY people as a masterpiece. Such stupidity.
