I hope the AK Railroad resumes the Ski Train this season. The AK Blaskapelle has GOT to be a part of it. GREAT video here. Just rode the summer version of the train ("Glacier Discovery Train") and was wondering what it looks like in winter.
The polka band from Anchorage that was on the train. They played car to car all the way up and then in one car that served as the dance floor all the way back. Outstanding party animals.
This is a great video. I have been going on the train for almost 20 years. If you could only capture the SMELL of wet wool and sweating bodies, you'd have a perfect video. Debbie T.
