Actually everyone lip syncs at the Macy's Parades to avoid any technical difficulties (mics shorting out, high wind interference, etc). I didn't know they did that until last year. I always wondered why EVERYONE always sounded pitch-perfect. lol  Although it feels like we're being cheated out a live performance, I can totally understand why they do it.
