i am not a fan of hybrid cars, for one they are ugly as fuck and they are not environmentally friendly as one might thing, i my opinion hybrid tecn is a dead one, we should be betting on hydrogen cars and how to optimize the technology, and that does not mean the end of V8´s, v10,v12, you would drive your hydrogen car in the week, and on the weekends you would take you Aston martin db9(per say =)) for a spin,like the car once saved the horse, the hydrogen will save mankind ;)

Yeah, the Prius is totally ugly, and they need to actually make it environmentally friendly to remove that smug-label.

In my eyes, there is only one car making a significant step when it comes to that, and that is the Honda FCX Clarity, the hydrogen car. No horribly long rechargingtimes and no emissions. In terms of coolness, the Tesla beats them all, however it takes very long to recharge.

Engines and transmissions in recent cars have been top notch and many Europeans are starting to respect them again.

Look at any new Toyota. They're the most boring cars on the road AND they've seen a decline in quality. If you wanna see who's been making big strides check out the new GM Cars and also Hyundai.
