Not surprised you sold it real quick. It is seriously pretty. I bought the 35th Aniversary model ,which is nice ,but not as good looking as the original in my opinion. What kind of money do the originals go for?
@ilikezappa Good morning. The 35th Anniversary is very nice, rare. When we sold this, we were shocked at how quickly it brought $15k. I suppose because it was so original (H-D did the repaint).
@libertyohio I would have written you a cheque for 15K immediately. I wonder how it rides compared to the modern one? I live in England and Harleys are expensive ( like everything else ! Gas is now 12 bucks a gallon oooweee)
"very original" -not TRYING to be an uber troll here, but just wanted to point out a few things that are NOT that i can see from the video..
-bolts holding the handle bars
-completely wrong set up spark wires(left hand side of the bike)
-and the throttle in this video does not have a "kill switch". which the(original) 71 does have.. also, you have some parts on your bike that have been chromed(which just makes it look better tbh) but yes:)
I'd like to use this video as a possible reference for a comic book character who rides a vintage Harley all over the nation. (Thanks for showing all angles.) If you don't mind my asking, I know they repainted it, but is that what it looked like back in 1971?
@WackyJackArt1976 Hi. Thanks very much for viewing. It looked just like that. H-D has a program where we can send paint back to them and they repaint. Let us know if you have any further questions. 330.535.9900 (EJ)

@ilikezappa $12? Wow. That's what the environmentalists want here. The bike was innovative at the time, but probably vibrated a lot. Thanks again:)

Did this find a home, or is it still available?

Nothing wrong with keeping the tank full of gas with a bottle of Stabil. Great looking Super Glide.
