It (conch shell) has a very important place in India. In India we believe that the sound of this shell iradicate the negativity and also in ancient time this was use during HAWAN.
My father had a conc with the tip sawed off so it could be blown into similar to that. I got really good at it. Too good in fact. He shattered it at one point and accused me for his hearing loss.
YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK! I have had one laying around for the past 40 years and never knew what to do. I blew into it and made all 4 of our fainting goats fall over at the same time ,was the coolest thing ever!
