I was watching Craig Ferguson late night recently and he commentated on him being a naturalized Scottish American , the struggles, hardships, & sacificiates that both Scotland & America overcame along with the hero’s that gave ALL. It brought to mind to of my favorite Scottish & American bands to mind (Albannach & Hallelujah) their tribute to Colonial warriors & Scots (William Wallace) I thought I’d share it with you on this special day. The end of that movie is still hard to watch. Never has a movie made me feel such passion as did Braveheart.... the Scottish dialouge in this clip is so fitting, it gave me chill bumps...very nice, indeed..

I have been a fan of Albannach for a few years now, and to use thier music to Braveheart is in a one word AMAZING! Very well done, you could not have picked a better song.
My granddaughter and I went to the Scottish Highland Games in Winter Springs Fl and heard Albannach for the very first time. We were blown away by their music. Bought there album got them to autograph it, and ordered books on William Wallace. Have seen Braveheart, brought many tears to my eyes. This song and video, brings it all back again, that someone had the guts to stand up and be counted for what he believed.

@terremma do you under stand this is meant to be more of an example of the need to fight against oppresion than it is about national pride though they may be one in the same. it is about a good man being hung drawn and quartered then cut to pieces and shipped back to what was left of his family and those he swore to protect

Hollywood and history aside, this is a great film which touch my emotion and raised powerful sympathetic feelings within me. My grandfather had to fight back the russians and greatgrandfathers had to live under the russian flag.

Being Scottish this video tugged at my heart But! Braveheart was only a movie and wasn`t true to the "Real" Sir William Wallace.A lot was left out of the film and some things added for good effect.Google "William Wallace The Truth" the truth behind the man. Good video though mate.

I know this movie was based on Blind Harry's words but I've done alot of reading about Wallace and not much of the movie was true, it was a hollywood movie but it also put wallaces name on the map for the 99.9 pecent who had never heard of him. Thank you,

My granddaughter and I went to the Scottish Highland Games in Winter Springs Fl and heard Albannach for the very first time. We were blown away by their music. Bought there album got them to autograph it, and ordered books on William Wallace. Have seen Braveheart, brought many tears to my eyes. This song and video, brings it all back again, that someone had the guts to stand up and be counted for what he believed.
