Back in the day... 16's looked big, 17's looked really big & 18's were just insanely big looking. Now 18's look small in alot of cases. 19" on a car is the biggest I will ever go... 20's on a large SUV only. Not into the whole dub thing or whatever it's called.
It depends on the car. Something like a chrysler 300 almost looks silly with anything less than 20's. I prefer 18's on most cars, seeing as how a lot of compacts have 17's these days.
