In Europe they raised  this fish in hatcheries and stock them in fishing lakes , and they have not multiplied in numbers like in USA .... I do not know THERE is something GOOD for them in USA waters .

Dear jawtcharlli,

They're called that because they were imported from ASIA & are native to Asian countries. (Imagine that !) They were imported like so many other now invasive & harmful species to take care of another problem. In the 70's these fish were brought to clean up certain algae for fish farmers & are killing off many native species of ours.

Just research about non native species & what happens when they are introduced. Always a worse prob then what they were supposed to solve.
