He makes it just enough George to be original but other than that, he depicts the perfect vocal viruosity and range and tonality of Freddie Mercury. There is not one other voice to have done nearly any of their songs during Tribute. I liked the other performers and all but, George can do it with flair and technique better than anyone. Of course, they said the same about Steve's voice from Journey and that new guy hits him with perfection, so perhaps there is another Freddie waiting 2 B heard!

This is such a wonderful tribute to Freddie! George Michael does such a beautiful job! I love it! I cry every time I hear it, with tears of joy & pain. Good to know I wasn't the only one who thought George Michael should have joined Queen after seeing the chemistry here. Obviously, it wouldn't be Freddie, but as a next phase I think GM would have made a fitting replacement. And I don't think GM's career would have really been threatened, if that's what he was concerned with. Truthfully, I'm not really a fan of GM, but I think it would have made for some cool new songs.

I remeber that he was the only one that night who managed to sing decently (actually, much more than that), all the rest of artists who came on stage before and after him were simply terrible. They just couldn't reach the highs and lows of Freddie's songs and were in big difficulty. George Michael not only could, but he also sang this one just like Freddy would - with a lots of energy and a powerful voice. Fantastic!
