This worked. However, you didn't explain the hot swap quite well, so I had to do some external researching to find out what it was and how to execute it. Anyways, the rest of the tutorials made sense, so I must thank you for making this tutorial clear and concise.

Probably been mentioned, but once you have access to the hard drive, why not use ndure installer to setup and copy the files to the hard drive... no exploitable game needed.

It is, has been for a long time, due to constent firmware updates and "rewrites" sony has been able to stop every mod cold.

Yeah, there is, via NDure and XboxHDM (google them).

It's a nice method, but it's a little risky and a bit incomplete. However, it's a nice alternative to using an AR to transfer the saves, though I think it's safer since it doesn't require opening the Xbox. Also, to install a new HDD, this method doesn't work that well.

Hey blacklabel2326 your a dumbass. Xbox Media Center is an application NOT a softmod installer. The only installers out are evolutionx and unleashx. I think unleashx is the best though.

Er... EvoX and UnleashX are dashboards. XBMC could be used as an inistaller too if you really wanted.

The only installers out are evo x and unleashx? But those are dashboards too really confusing man. He's tryin to say a lot of people use xbmc as their dash because that's what they use the most. The popular softmod installers out there are the mech assault "run linux' and the james bond sid3. I use two saves to mod my boxes plus AID latest version dvd rom, first save to get the eeprom. And the second one to mod the larger hard drive with the sid softmod to C: without tray open selection....

I don't even bother with the stock drive. There's a lot of dashborads to choose from, (anod-x, avalaunch, evox3921, 3935, xmedia menu, unleash x, xbmc and xdsl.

After i've tried them all i still think avalaunch is the best. I've modded over 28 xbox's now and still counting....
