Go back and work on your instruments. The tail of the instruments, expecially the lower pitch ones, isn't right. Real instruments don't cut off like that. It also comes across as a flat room -- there is no echo -- no ambiance.
In terms of composition, however I like it. Keep working on it.
@sgbotsford Hi sgbotsford. Thank you very much for the feedback. I was certainly concentrating a lot more on the actual composition than the effects. I have vast amounts still to learn regarding achieving the right overall sound, which I readily admit to! :) I appreciate that this is a vital part of any music production that I must strive to improve on. At the time the composition itself was very much my priority and I thank you for your words.
did you just do this on a synthesizer, or is this really with live musicians performing your composition? Or did you just cut, paste, and remix different audio tracks?
@nladisha Hi nladisha! Thank you very much for the comment/question.
The music is created by using samples of the actual instruments. I manually scored (wrote) all the notes, using music software, and then used samples of instruments during the playback. It's all computer based! :)
It would be awesome to be able to write something for live musicians though. Maybe one day! :)
Really great it would be so easy to fall into typical western cliches but your music avoids them and has a great powerful melody that sticks in the head .
Id love just for the hell of it to see you try something in the Morricone /Nicolai style .
