Remember rentinh this back in 85 on Betamax!!! Awesome movie. They recently played this on cable and showed it to my 6 yr old daughter.....she fell in love with it.

It's great the aliens they meet are "just" kids too. And the parents of both species are busy workaholics with no interest in subjects like, "creatures from other worlds". It just goes to show most kids are more open minded and uncorrupted by society than adults are. If you keep an open mind and your love for the unknown, like you had when you were born, one day, you will meet your distant neighbors. You will unravel the mysteries. Great message in the movie. One of a few.

I got to see this movie, back in 1985, instead of the sold out seats to see "Back To The Future". Great movie, "The Explorers", but hard to come by these days.
