  • what did you all do to this car for performance? and is it automatic?

  • I never knew about the ss sedan

  • does the sedan ss come with the brembo brakes?

  • Yes, the brembo's come standard on both the coupe and sedan.

  • @cotucker Those are some discreet Brembos. I don't see any. Or are we talking about rotors...?

  • Damn this car pulls better stock numbers than a stock evo mr... I Like this car but damn Chevy, why they had to be so cheap missing so many things that shoulda been stock?(Like, Arm Rest, RPD, Outdated Antena(should've just had the roof antena), Rear Bumperlip(without it the car look rental!!) Center Dome Lamp!, HID Projector Head Lamp!, LED Tail Lamp, Racin Pedals, Rear Wing!) :( that should've been stock!!!

  • Why not make it all-wheel drive with more power?

An American car to compete with the Subaru WRX STI's and Mitsubishi Evo's would be great for the American look. Imagine a 300 horsepower Colbalt SS turbo with all wheel drive. That would be awesome!

  • Well that would be awesome but would add allot to the price and would enter the car into a price range that would be competing with other GM models. This car AWD and 300hp would be atleast 30k and most people would go ahead and get the camaro. Just my thoughts on it.

  • Yeah that would be Sweet!! but the freaking Cheap ass Chevy skipped too many thinst aht shoulda been stock on this one though :(

  • @im1greatman I know its kinda a 2 year old comment, but an awd will not only cost more but make it weigh alot more. The reason a cobalt can take a wrx is for the simple fact that it weighs alot less. Making it awd would be a terrible decision. And ZZP offers a turbo stage kit for the 08-10 cobalt ss that brings it numbers to 350-400 depending on the psi you set the turbo to. So with that kit a t/c cobalt will easily outrun many over-priced evos/stis.

  • VW will cost u a leg and 3 fingers when u take it to the shop.. chevy is gonna be like... half of a finger... lol

  • Yea I got mine for 22k fully loaded, and I love it. IMO it is just a great all around car. I aswell like VW's, but have always bought for the most part chevys, but have owned a few old school bugs. Do you want a used car or a brand new car, do you speed or German engineering. Not that the gti can be fast because they can, when i say speed I mean right out of the box between these two cars.

  • Well what are you looking for?The vw will have allot more features and a much better interior and most likely be of better quality all around, but thats why you pay more. The new SS turbo is pretty much a cheap balls to the wall car and to me the interior is pretty good but others seem to think other wise.If speed and handling is what you are looking for the cobalt is what you want hands down. If top notch quality is your choice than you might want to go with the VW.Just test drive both and see.

  • sounds good and powerful way to go chevy power

  • DO you happen to know the curb weight of the new sedan? I can't find it anywhere.

  • It is 40lbs heavier than the coupe. I think it is just under 3000lbs.

  • good numbers for stock.very good.post some vids racing 05-09 mustangs : )

  • I just put one up of me racing a Pontiac TA ram air if that will work for ya. I couldn't get lined up with any of the mustangs.

  • Me lika the way the car sounds.
