Thanks much. It is good to hear this again. Sometimes I have to go back to basics just to get that all important center again. Besides, we're always beginning. Never ending. Good job. Good articulation. I am grateful for this, good friend.
an important point you forgot is that it's very helpfull to support the spine with a meditation pillow or other things. if one tries to hold his spine straight without that it will be uncomfortable and not last for long.
very simply a Mudra is a posture made with the hands usualy to enhance or direct specific energies within the body. sometimes it's called "Hand yoga".
Thank you so much for this video! I've always had a hard time keeping my thoughts from wandering while meditating and it never even occurred to me to try counting. You've been an excellent help, thank you. :)
It's okay for your mind to wander... noticing that it has wandered and bringing it back to the moment is really the point of meditation. The ultimate goal is to be able to maintain your concentration on the present moment.
Patrick Reynolds has a good video about it here: watch?v=csyCrcpDs58
I've been meaning to request this for a while now, I've experimented with a wide variety of substances, but by far meditation has taken me to depths I couldn't even begin to imagine.
it must be a terrible thing to suffer with something like that i'm sorry for you and sugges..... hey thats a lovely flower there on that window sill, it''s all blue and red and last week when i was in specsavers you'll never guess who i bumped into? everybody! .....but with such a lovely aroma and really green leaves.....
hi i have bin noticing your videos and in my home town i would pick Psilocybe baeocystis or potent psylocibe i never knew what they were called i just knew they got me lit one time when i was mowing my lawn and came across around 2 pounds of then i found that it was not just psylocin and psylocybin that affect u but it also had baeocystis as a reason of the high long story short what is the difference between all three of these active compounds or is it just same shit different pile?
Why do you have to sit to meditatate? There's no way that that is more comfortable than lying in bed.
It doesn't sound like a good setting for introspection. My advice would be lying in a bathtub with the lights off. That way you can completely focus on the "mental".
I often medititate lying down in bed. It is a good way to have a relaxing and balancing meditation and it is easy on the lower back (I often have lower back pain from sitting to much). But if you ever want to channel energy, like with a kundalini meditation, it is good to practice meditating with a vertical/straight back.
I experienced a spontaneous DMT flash whilst lying down and meditating (i was trying to practice astral.p). The trouble with lying down is obviously a large part of you believes you want to sleep, given you've spent half your life doing that..
However, i find it far easier to dissociate my awareness lying down than sitting, simply because i find it easier to relax my body this way. It does take a bit of practice to catch yourself before you fall asleep, but i think its worth it definitely
In yoga lying down on your back is called the "dead body" pose. Meditating this way for a prolonged period of time will make you fall asleep. Meditating sitting with an upright back will make you relaxed and alert at the same time. Start your yoga session with the dead body for 2 minutes, and then try sitting up meditation. Finish with 2 mins of dead body. You can also sit on couple of pillows, so that your pelvis is elevated above your knees. That's good if you have lower back problems.
i really like this video. i am a loyal subscriber and thoroughly enjoy your videos anyone who is interested in speaking with me about relaxive and psychadelic techniques can add me to yahoo messanger via shampoofaerie.
Ive read a report on erowid from a person who went insane on LSD. He thought that he was dead or in hell, but now he feels he's gained a higher consciousness regarding life and death. That I believe in, but as far as to what you say, i'm not to sure.
thank you for that krystle, so admirable of you to help people with different ways of expanding their minds. i always like to see what you have to talk about
Neuro do you plan on making a video about post-(bad)trip psychosis? Because it's not that rare, and it's fucking horrible, and something people should be aware of :P
good info, i started to meditate daily about a year ago and as u say counting helps to focus, what i would do is visualize a star and just focus on that while breathing slowly but often my mind would wander from the star then id start over again. peace

"Why do you have to sit to meditate?"
You dont hav to sit, but if it works for u, do it.
3:12 "and so anythng that works for u and feels right, go with it."
"There's no way that that is more comfortable than lying in bed."

I also meditate on my back at night and I just fall in this very deep state of relaxation.
And it's so weird I was just studying kundalini energy this morning than my teacher was talking about it! :P
Great basic tutorial! Thanks for the thing about counting.
