  • 70 meters!!??!! Oh my goodness! How far is the furthest for competitions like this and the olympics?

  • korean archers' form is the best . LOL i can't understand ruban's form :) NO OFFENSE > ?

  • @1234holygrail It's a little release which lets the archers know when they are exactly at their desired full draw.

  • anyone saw that spin wing got hit at Im Dong Hyun's second arrow? :))

THAT'S WHAT I CALL GROUPING! KOREA FIGHTING! :D

  • im dong hyun is legally blind, 20/100 and 20/200, and he's the best archer in the world. chew on that..

  • It seems that IM D.H. does not use his back.

  • Wow, notice Ruban shoots with his left eye closed, thereby losing depth perception. It's a mystery to me why he's as good as he is. He must be left eye dominant but a RH shooter. You can either close one eye or use elongated sight pins to compensate but what is highly recommended in beginning archery books is to switch over and shoot left-handed so you can keep both eyes open.

  • It may be random but does anyone know where to get a lh W&W TF Apecs riser for a reasonable price??

  • Why the hell are people talking about the dark ages when this is a modern sport now... and archery might not be only used in wars. It can be used when you are travelling in a small group and people attack you and you can't just shoot anywhere... anyway do these people even know about archery in the first place.. You have no right to speak ill of asians when you don't know how hard they work to get where they are.

  • ...dude, if you think logically, shooting at an army, you don't have to aim for a specific target, just make sure the arrow hits SOMEONE, which, in a massive group like an army isn't difficult. So no, they wouldn't have to drop their bows to get "top-notch" accurracy.

  • @Sarthex your talking crossbow my freind

  • you racist bastard, please go suicide

  • @sakamatana5 Wow...you rasist bastard or are you simply joking cause I can take that

  • @hydrocatastrophy132 Yeah I am just joking :P People need to learn to chill

  • both are the world class players! amazing!

  • Man.... I was holding my breath right to the last shot.

    great match.

  • Wow! This was a really nice match!! That is exactly why I like archery so much...

  • y u all talking about vikto when clearly im dh is one od the greatest archers ever. i still dont believe anyone is better than oh kyo moon

  • heroes rise and fall. Oh probably would be behind the present korean team if he were still shooting. Eventually, age catches up with you.

there again, the present koeran team archers are the people who are holding the world records. you can't say oh is better than them unless you can prove he scored those scores before in the past, or can score them now.

  • The equipment improvements since Oh's time DO make a difference though, you can't deny that.

  • i'll say, apart from changes in arrow technology which give subtle differences, not much else makes any differences.

I'd agree if you say plunger but only if you can show me how springs are made differently and how they improve scores. I would agree for limbs too if you show me how that little bit of extra speed gives you a big push. But otherwise, i'll say mostly small differences. Bring our modern equipment back into OH's time, when he was at his peak,I doubt you'll find a lot of difference

  • I agree Oh Kyo Moon is the greatest male archer of all time. He still holds the Fita World Record which he's held for almost 10 years!

  • Victor Ruban is a very good archer, but personally I like the Korean archers shooting style better

  • Victor Rubans form is crazy!

  • Victor Rubans form is mighty raw! Not based on smoothness like the Koreans always tend to do, but purely based on power and force. At least, that's my opinion, I might be miles of.

  • like......he draws the bow to the side of his face, then moves his head by an amazing amount then puts it into anchor point..... he must be pretty consistent with that!

  • the Ukranians tend to shoot with their thumb behind their neck to get a decent anchor, not many contries use this technique, but it seems to work ok for them. I'm much more a fan of the korean method though.

  • This is ukrain traditional style of shooting

  • Olympic Champion vs. World Champion

I hope Im can be individual Olympic champion in 2012.
