If one of your party is Black, do not stand close to him or her at any time whilst evil/bad/nasty things are taking place. When the girls demand on opening that door or going down the stairs or up the stairs, run in the other direction. I love these films

This looks so bad its not evn funny... and yeah i thnk i do know the story... you're trying to be clever and outwit your audience when in reality you give it all away in the trailer. There's gonna be some old dudes who convince these kids to go to this house, then turn on this sci-fi gate thng. They release monsters and stuff; keep an eye on the kids, make sure they follow all the classic horror movie cliches. When the kids figure out what's going on they try and escape. That sound about rite?

At least in Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (an excellent parody of this kind of movie) they explain the weird behaviour by the hillbilly being incredibly nervous and acting weirdly out of panic.
