I did some research..take a look at harpiesbizarre It says Dick was in constant pain due to a back injury and was taking pain pills. It says one day he showed up for work and hadn't been able to sleep the night before because of the pain. He had a seizure on the set and was rushed off to the hospital.

A sad day when Dick York fell sick on the set and was quickly replaced.

from what I read he had a bad back and had been taking pain pills for some time.

Dick York didn't left beacause he had bad back.. actually he father died and he was so sad that could act anymore... :( I think Dick York is the best Darrin ever in this land... Rest in peace..
