Hello ,My friend (15 year old girl) started screaming things and imagining things that are not around like "hes coming, hes coming and he will ruin you all", she was out of concience, yet remembered everything afterwards. she drinks alot but i never saw this before, anyway, this only happened twice (her friend told me), and she refuses to talk or explain what happened to her that night.
this may be PTSD? if it is, what should i do? i was sure she was possesed her actions were abnormal.. thanks!!
@98kemik There are many awful parts of a flashback, however there are many things that can be done to lesson the effect they have been having. Please give us a call (941) 907-0525 We are here to help.
I was in a car accident early February of this year that had involved the death of a pedestrian. Up until a few days ago, I began to feel some of the symptoms of ptsd, like irritability, depression, and confusion. Lately I've been feeling intense confusion, almost like my thoughts overpower my reality. I can't seem to find why I've been feeling like this day in and day out. I feel like this strange feeling of numbness will be permanent, and that's a scary thought. Could I have PTSD?
@heyitsdahveed Thanks for the email. You may be experiencing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress. There are ways to get rid of the numbness you have been feeling. Please give our office a call (941) 907-0525 We are here to help
I have been labelled with PTSD but my doctors haven't done anything about it... it seems they've forgotten about therapy I was supposed to be treated with but have yet to receive. The video has helped because its gave me a real explanation of the disorder itself, rather than doctors listening and writing things down, not explaining what is actually wrong with me... I haven't got to the point of flashbacks etc, but every common symptom I suffer from... what should I do?
I suffered severe spinal injuries, went to hospital emergency and was kicked out without any help, went to another hospital and was kicked out without any help again, went to another hospital and was kicked out again without any investigation; 18 months and 28 doctors later, my broken back was diagnosed; 5+ years later and 6 ortho surgeons and 3 neurosurgeons who didn`t conduct any investigation missed my 2nd spinal injury;
I have been having intense nightmares, is this PTSD?
@FIXWCBCANADA Thank you for your email. The symptoms you are describing could definitely be PTSD. We know how to get rid of the nightmares and improve things for you. If you are interested in our services, please give us a call (941) 907-0525 Dr. Quintal
I had a question on my mind for years; if someone develops P.T.S.D as a young child, can this cause learning blockages throughout the child's development?
@DayMare2000 Thanks for the question. Yes that can happen. When people experience trauma they are in states of high emotion and low intelligence. The mind is in a hyper alert mode. Learning is not a priority when that is going on, therefore can cause those blockages.
i think i have ptsd. i had been harassed at work for many years. i no longer work and havent been for many months. i was given sheep brains as a gift, harassed, overloaded with work, humiliated. i got harassed almost every day for many years. the thing is i have HARD EVIDENCE. i have seek'd no compensation for this. i suffer every day and hardly ever go out the house. i use to have lots of friends. i now have zero! i keep to myself, and spend most of the day and night in my bedroom. bye.
@bodybuildingsa Thank you for your email. It definitely sounds like you have experienced trauma. @bodybuildingsa - Hey man...are you saying people took advantage of you at work and preyed on you? I've had experiences like this before so it's strange to run into it here online from someone else. They gave you sheep brains? Why that?
Awhile ago there was a lot of turmoil in the family (don't want to talk about it). I left home when I was 17 and worse stuff began happening. In the recent years I began to develop exploding head syndrome; I started hearing voices call my name in the middle of the night and sometimes I would wake up after being through a very realistic nightmare.
@XXZtormentorZXX I thought the EHS was a result of the drugs I used to do (thats how I used to cope) when I realized later on that it was a symptom of my fluctuating depression. I've been battling this ever since..
@XXZtormentorZXX Thanks for your post. I would like to speak with you to get more of an understanding of what is going on and how I can be of assistance. Please call my office (941) 907-0525 I look forward to speaking with you soon. Dr Q

My parents fought and things got physical I heard everything and I still can't forget about it And I still remember other fights and things that have happen to me but I'm still happy with life do I have PTSD? I'm very confused :(
@FLIPPYinSanEs0ldiEr You may not have PTSD but you may have post traumatic stress. I need some advice,my girlfriend is maybe suffering from PTSD as a result of being in the civil war in El Salvador.I love her so much, but I can see she is still going through the trauma of that war.Any ideas, although she will seek counselling.I am at a loss as to what to do.
@sportyrabbit2008 - Counseling is good.. but she may need meds.. the right SSRI and an anti-anxiety drug, like clonazepam (Klonipin) or time release alprazolam (Xanex)..She needs to stablize her nerves, than slowly ween off the benzos (lick over 2 months).. the SSRI's can be reduced in a 2 week period..If she has ptsd really bad she may have to add long effect Librium or Valium or a beta-blocker when withdrawing..Also, extra doses of Kava Kava root extract and melatonin will help..
@sportyrabbit2008 Many times part of the mind doesn't know that the bad experiences are finished. When that happens thoughts about the bad experience and anything similar to the bad experience will get confused as the experience itself and cause a negative physical and emotional reaction. RRT can heal those emotional wounds. Please give my office a call. (941) 907-0525 I look forward to speaking with you soon. Dr. Quintal
After that, i started getting ACUTE panic attacks, the middle of the night, day, etc.. strange faces and voices manifesting when it was acute, sentences that had no logical pattern or rational meaning.. Anyway, i would advise staying away from cannabis that is not prescription, not grown indoors, by drug lords, etc..IT CAN mess with your mental health..
@TwoPointsUp i agree 100%. last november, i smoked weed with a few friends and after 5 minutes, it felt as if i was trapped in a weird, strange, unfamiliar, cartoon/dream with absolutely no meaning. it was the most terrifying experience of my life. i'm a little better since then, but i still fight everyday to keep myself from panicking and to stay in reality. everything still seems unfamiliar and i have a bad feeling that it's going to be years down the road until i feel like myself again.
@dustin2006 - Thanks for your feedback.. I meant to say "that which is grown OUTdoors.." ie, as nature intended.. There were never as many problems like this until it started getting grown unnaturally, and spiked with who knows what, (PCP?) and much stronger than it needs to be..Sorry your having a rough time, see an M.D. if u think you need to..especially if u are having panick attacks, go ASAP..Good luck..
@dustin2006 - How often do u have panic attacks? Do they wake you up at night? If you still have them u should be on a benzodiazepine- Klonipin or Xanex (time release of Xanex is probly better..)
I started getting PTSD symtoms after a bad THC experience.. injesting too rapidly under a friend's proding, caused me to feel like I'd OD (I felt like i was on psilocybin again a bit, even though it had been Years since i injested any..I drank a lot more red wine, hoping it would "bring me down"..but, when i got home, i experienced terror that I was having a heart attack (racing heart, pain in shoulder- thought i might die right there in front of my mom and brother, an unthinkable scenerio)..
I had a similar experience but with LSD. Someone wanted me to try a chocolate candy at a house party. I didn't expect anything suspicious. Later it turned out to be LSD. I had extereme hallucinations and suddenly my heart started to beat like crazy, my body temparature jumped rapidly, I could not breath. I thought I was about to lose my consciousness and die. To make the matter worse I was alone in my room in the middle of the night. Nobody to help. I started to panic. I called emergency...
I told them that I may die if they won't come. The ambulace came over within a few minutes. I will never forget ambulance lights and siren. They took me to hospital where I stay for half of the day. That was a nightmare. Fortunately, physically nothing happend to me but this horrible event left a scar in my psyche. My brain just simply couldn't process such a trauma. A month later I developed all the symptoms of PTSD: flashbacks, anxiety, hypervigilance, insomnia, depression. I was hoping...
I was hoping that time would bring me the relief but that did not happen. I had to see the psychiatrist to survive. I was put on strong antidepressant effexor which helped my brain to process the trauma. My brain needed 5 months to move this nightmare to long-term memory. Now it is been a year and I don't have any symptoms of anxiety but I still struggle with severe depression. I hope that one day I will go back to who I was before this trauma.
@woody270882 -Hope you do, too..You're story sounds similar to a friend I know from the USA, but now living in SE Asian..He did something dark colored too..but from what i know, lsd is only a spot on a paper, colorless, orderless.. Doesn't mean it's not dangerous, tho..but he has been on Paxil for the last 10 years..he is afraid to go under 10mg, believes he won't function if he does..
Guilt, try the guilt of surviving, coming home...back in the world where I no longer belong. My physical body survived but my soul bled out. Now I live with the memories so to remind myself of who I am.
@blackninja99 it's PTDS, if she was conscious, she'd repeat the same to herself quietly.
