  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha

  • He says he's jealous of the moon, because you look at it. He's jealous of the sun, because it warms you. He says, "I feel you, even when I'm not feeling you. I talk to you when I'm not talking to you. I love you, even when I'm not loving you."... you know I love you, Gina.

  • @My500Facts I was wondering what he said in that scene...how beautiful

  • he says exactly that: "He says hes jealous of the moon, because you look at it.

Hes jealous of the sun, because it warms you. He says, "I feel you, even when Im not feeling you. I talk to you when Im not talking to you. I love you, even when Im not loving you."... you know I love you, Gina."

    great movie

  • Anyone happen to know EXACTLY what he says when he's trying to calm her down and starts with, "do you know what he's saying?..."? With enough rewinds, I think I got down what he whispers, but I'm not 100% definite about it. lol. I'm dying to know though.

  • whats the cartoon thats being used here?

  • the dress actually said "Shit Stain Brown"

  • i understand the artistry moment - but if i were a real professional painter and somebody did this to my shit i would take a revolver out of my bag and blown that mothafuckers head off - fucking drug addict lol im just playing though

  • My FAVORITE scene in this movie - this song makes it powerful

  • La BOF est superbe... + qu'un film c'est une oeuvre d'art...Bravo Julian Schnabel !!!

Je vous invite à voir mon travail d'artiste fou !!! "Bad painting"

    O.Malagamba

  • That song is tattoed on my mind mind after this movie.

I made a short video on Basquiat, CHECK IT OUT!!!!

    Thanks

  • this scene is so intense to me

it makes me feel i see a dream of my own on the screen

    thank you great artists !

  • Jeffrey Wright played a terrible Basquiat. The only thing that made the movie enjoyable was David Bowie's portrayal of andy Warhol.

  • @phonedial9

Actually I thought the reverse was true.

I didn't mind Bowies Warhol, but it didn't ring quite right. Wright is remarkable in his accuracy of Basquiat. Just look at some of the interviews on here, for his mannerisms to compare.

  • alguien me puede decir el nombre del sound track de ese trocito de la pelicula porfaa

  • "It`s all over now, baby blue", THEM es la banda, la canta Van Morrison.

Hice un video corto sobre Basquiat, miralo si podés. Gracias!!!

  • his girlfriends hot

  • great version of its all over now,

dylan sing it to donovan and give the

    poor bastard a lesson.

    watch it on youtube!!!!

  • sorry but what he says to she when he hug she?

sorry my english is bad =)

  • I wish it would have shown his foreign language skills. Yes an awsome movie despite it's critics. mainly because the jmb was one of the best artists. Beautiful balance in his work and I mean among the best - picasso to be sure not warhole. warhole was below him. True . . . oh that french artist that died after a self inflected gun shot a few days later. So wish jmb was still alive. We could all learn alot from him.

  • I love this movie sooo much... thanks for posting! You know, I love Dylan but I gotta say I like this Van Morrison version better maybe?!? Has anybody else noticed that this music is the same as Jack-ass by Beck?

  • yes...i thought it was beck at first, too...the guitar part at the beginning, especially...he must have sampled it

  • God, I love this song and this film as well, this is where I actually heard this music for the first time..

  • My first girlfriend and I were kind of smart outcasts kids in a smaller town, we saw this movie in the "city" and it (especially this song) makes me ULTRA nostalgic now.

  • Love it when she paints over his stuff and he says: "That looks good!"

  • LOL I know that part killed me!

  • @EscargoTouChaud Yeah and then he said "maybe you could add some blue"...

  • @EscargoTouChaud "put some blue"

  • One of my favorite songs, never seen the movie but my dad owns the soundtrack.

  • This is my favorite scene in the movie. It almost has a magical quality with the music, the old movie, and the action. The opening was also very touching and used part of "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues very effectively.

  • Favorite all time film scene. That song in the background and the complexity of emotions going on, drills me every time.

  • painting outside the lines

  • does anybody know where i can find this movie to load?

  • amazon, just 3 pounds, or emule xD

  • greatest movie

  • I love this version of Dylan's original. THEM featuing Van Morrison

  • this is my favoute part of any movies

  • Why artists shouldn't date. XD

I would have worn that dress, though.

  • You're so right. I don't know what it is about us; but things just don't ever work out where matters of the heart are concerned. Is it that we're impulsive? or because most of us are free spirits? or because almost all of have the prerequisite tortuerd soul? I think I think too much, too.

  • the dress looked better with the paint...anyways: did this dress thing happen in real life?

  • Sip, pintó las palabras "Little shit brown" en el vestido de su novia.

  • and 1111raven1111-this scene really did happen in real life...Its not a strtch for dear Claire as I know her well and she loves to lose it sometimes...Best to you!

  • Repelghost. tell us more about him! Anyways I never full got what everything meant with the pelican and frog. I love the next scene, when benny tries to make out with gina. classic.

  • the c.d. is still out there....look for it in a used outlet, somthin like dat

  • I knew Jean, met him 4 times, bought many drawings, some paintings,he was nothing like the movie portrays him to be...shame on Julian Schnabel for doing that to a 'FRIEND'....Jean was a listener, always looked into your eyes when you spoke...never sullen, depressed, at least not around us....generous,compassionate,intelligent and really, really funny....loved Katz's Deli and always removed his shoes before we entered...I never asked 'why?'...

  • The movie is a Hollywood version for masses. What did you expect?

  • Anyone know the title or titles of the old stop motion movies in this scene?

  • The Frogs Who Wanted a King" (1922) or sometimes called "frogland"

by: Russian animator ; Ladislaw Starewicz

  • thanks for the info

  • awsome scene, perfectly illustrates Basquiat's artistic vision and reckless abandon when it came to relationships. Not to mention a great song to go along with it

  • I have to see this movie.

  • Great Movie, brings back my freshman year in College...thanks.

  • I love this film! It's amazing!! :O :O :O

  • The song is "It's all over now, baby blue" by Them, featuring Van Morrison. Original was by Bob Dylan. Beck's song, "jack-ass" features the sample from Them's version of this song.

  • What song is this?

  • oh i love the movie and i love jean michel´s paintings. and i love this song!!!

  • I love this movie, too.

I just visited yesterday "The Jean-Michel Basquiat Show" in Milano, Triennale. Fantastic exposition.
