Hi everybody i need a litlle help.

I have a wifi in my house but my phone cant catch it only in my room,but my laptop can,but i will use my phone,so is there a way to connect the laptop with the wirelles connection and send the signal to my phone..i know its posiblle if the laptop has a cable connection but is it posiblle with a wifi connection..PLEAS HELP..

@gavran12345 hi gavran. To answer your question, no, it's not possible to do this. The reason why is because a laptops wireless adapter can only have one function. it can receive signal, or send signal, never both at the same time. Thanks for commenting :D

Not working for me. I am trying to connect my Nokia e63 with laptop and has Tata Photon+ data card. I have created new connection and it says waiting for user to connect then gets connected and I am also able to see the Wifi name in my mobile however not able to connect to the internet.. please help i'm doing this excersize so that my new iPod touch should not have any problem with internet connections. Hi, Atheros would be the brand name of the built in network card of my laptop. Your laptop will probably be a different brand name, but should still work for this process.

I want to do this with a psp 1000 with CFW 5.00 m33-6. Is it possible? Do I need a special program? I have my laptop connected via ethernet cord and my router is wireless but my psp doesn't work with it. it detects and connects then tries obtaining ip adress, only to time out. I am hoping it can send a signal to my psp using my laptops internal wifi card. So far, its a flop, but I will not give up on this because some sites my psp can get on that my laptop cant and i also want to play online

Hey can some one show how to configure 2 usb wifi cards to act as a repeater.

Meaning you use the first wifi card to connect to a hot spot, and then use the 2nd

usb wifi card to share the internet connection with other computers so they can connect to the Internet. So I guess you could call it a wifi repeater, or a router or

@Bhari4 I'm not sure, Ad-hoc could probably not be visible on some devices. On the otherhand, it could be a problem where the network settings default to broken ip addresses, and what not. I have a solution to that in my description. Message me if you need more help.

Ive been working on a project of mine for months, its basic, im trying to get my vista pc to share an internet connection straight to my ipod touch. The problem is my Ipod touch is too weak to get the wifi signal my pc does, I was wondering if there was any way to tether? ANY feedback would be greatly appriciated! thanks in advance.

@kalex404 Hmm, if your trying to extend the wifi network by sharing it through your wireless adapter. I dont think there is a solution. After making my video I learned that the wireless adapter can only send (like a wifi spot) OR receive (connecting to a wifi spot). It can not receive and send at the same time. Thats why in my video my internet comes from an alternate connection, my cellphone. The laptop can receive through its wired connections therefor allowing the wireless adapter to send.

@kalex404 the problem is the ad hoc connection is defaulting to a faulty Ip address, subnet mask, and DNS server. If you right click the adapter in network and sharing, you can get to properties, from there you highlight internet protocol 6 and click properties again. Here you'll find the different parts to your wireless conection. You need to figure a custom number to fill into each of these. It's been a while since i've done it myself, but i'm certain you can find the numbers to fill in here.

@007s00s This is true if you have a wired internet connection to your laptop (Ex: Cablevision modem connected to a laptop). My video is unique in a sense that it uses tethering as the base connection. Either way, the video can make your laptop a wifi access point.

@W4lly16 Definitely possible since I used my process to do it. If you start my video at 2:55 just replace the "Phone Connection" I refer to, to the type of connection you have, which is wired. In summary, you're going to want to share your ethernet connection with your adapter. Once you do, you set up an ad hoc network on the adapter. So your xbox is connected to your laptop's adapter which is sharing internet through your wired connection. Message me if you need any help. :D

@Techhelp, yes you can, as long as your phone keeps internet. @Kike, all you would have to do is scan for wireless networks (after having done the setup process for the laptop wifi) on your xbox and it'll show, then, with the password, you can get on live.
