  • you are fabulous

  • @ guy who posted a fifteen-part comment: tl;dr.

  • this is fab fab fab!!

    thumbs up X infinity

THESE are but a few of the real issues. And no gay is talking about them, because all vocal (militant) gays talk about the same 1 or max 2 dozen themes...

In my experience the discourse of gays on youtube is limited to, as I said, a few dozen buzzwords:

'hate, hatecrime, victim, gay holocaust, accepting diversity, tolerance, bigot, bible, equal rights, pride' and soforth. NOTHING ELSE.

    Sounds BRAINWASHED to me...

Sorry if I got a bit expansive.

...into the AIDS-debacle, rather than blindly going along with the largely unprocessed cultish memes, will immediately find that there are VERY SERIOUS problems with the official narrative we've all received about AIDS.

Do gays even realize the diagnostic protocol for gays was DIFFERENT than that for straights in the early years of the 'epidemic'?

What kind of meds gays got?

  • (15)

...been wiped out by AIDS (= hypertoxic medicine), one cannot expect of square citizens to be thrilled at having a gay son. Simple.

It's all about social engineering, and gays would do well to wonder why the system is so interested in this issue of gay rights. WHY are gays getting so much cooperation? Why do politicians love gays so much?

Hmm? Perhaps gays would be better off looking at this system that they so blindly trust a bit more critically....

    Anybody seriously looking ...

  • (14)

...crucial SUBSTANTIVE issues that we NEVER hear & that are completely ignored in favout of a screamy, shallow and yes, PROPAGANDISTIC cloned discourse, their 'liberational struggle' is a doomed counterproductive farce with nothing but legalistic implications.

REALLY, WHY SHOULD PEOPLE BE THRILLED ABOUT GAYS?

I think gays would do well to be a little bit more honest about their lifestyle. Obviously, if 50% or so of an entire generation of cruising gays has ...

  • (13)

Why must 6 year olds learn in school that this kind of behaviour is as good as any other?

Mind you, I'm not moralizing. NOT ME. I'm just pointing out an important, dominant facet of the REALITY of gay life. THERE'S NOTHING THERE TO INSPIRE THE MASSES. Until gays look at this honestly, and at WHY they're gay, what the creative potential of gayness is, what kind of culture they could develop, what kind of personal growth patterns gayness alows etc etc,

    all these...

  • (12)

... 'marriage, adoption, hate, bigot, bible, hate crime, equal rights, PRIDE' and soforth.

This is what ANY straight learns in the social arena about gays. AND NOT because they, or others particularly 'hate' gays, or would be 'phobic' (pfft!) of them.

It's what they see when George Michael has sex in public toilets with total strangers. It's what they see when they watch Queer as Folk. What they see EVERYWHERE: REALITY.

Really, what is so great about this promiscuity?

  • @rodiel89

    (11)

I see more and more sick and medicated people.

Don't you? MILLIONS of medicated kids in the US alone. And for what?

Basically being 'energetic' is sufficient reason today...

On the 'hate' and homophobia issue: look at what gays, or rather the miltant gays, are putting out in the social arena. What are the associations with gayness?

Sex, VD's AIDS, frivolity, and often pedophilia, plus ENDLESS bitching about the same themes:...

  • @rodiel89

...of healthproblems that genetics has had some good results?

Oh yeah, I know, they're claiming they're doing great and I'm sure you can cite some conditions for which they've found a 'genetic cause' and subsequently developed medication, BUT HOW GOOD IS THAT MEDICATION? Big pharma wants to medicate EVERYTHING, and you'll find medical articles raving about advances. But I just don't see it happening in real life.

  • @rodiel89

    (9)

...a shred of evidence for this conviction anymore. OF COURSE it must be genetic since EVERYTHING is genetic. THAT's the 'reasoning'...You also seem to have that a priori vision: 'well, perhaps science hasn't found a gene for it yet, and the trait is probably polygenetic', but there can be no doubt that sooner or later science will find the 'culprit''.

Do you REALLY experience in daily life and in the treatment ...

But I see many more problems and essentially I think genetics fundamentally confuses causes with symptoms, and at best some correlations with deterministic sequences.

At any rate, we are now in a situation where many people claim homosexuality is genetically based, and they don't even require ...

  • @rodiel89

    (7)

... but I don't, and I haven't found science has done much of a job since way over a century of explaining life with its protocols..

Genetics thrives on hugely complex algorithms that are modified all the time to puzzle a case into existence, and the general public just has to 'believe'.

Issues like C-value enigma, that basically says that SIZE OF GENOME is NOT related to the complexity of an organism, which translates in some amoebe having a genome size 200 times larger ..

  • @rodiel89

    (6)

...and even for such conditions as autism, schizophrenia, attention deficit no doubt, and of course homosexuality.

If you really think some 'genetic protocol' sets homosexuality in motion, then you just don't understand the psychology of homosexuality.

I realize that you 'believe' in this kind of research, in 'science', and want things to work this way, a simple clear program for everything,...

  • @rodiel89

    (5)

...similar 'delayed genetic mechanism' for homosexuality, and I must warn against the urge to see EVERYTHING in terms of 'genetic programs', when geneticists keep changing the definition of what a gene even is about every 5 minutes and have, to be honest, come up with no or exceedingly scarce results.

Science tells us EVERYTHING is genetically based, since this allows 'the experts' to decrete every single aspect of life. Thus a genetic base is sought for countless diseases,

  • @rodiel89

    (4)

...that same disease may have a 'genetic base', but note how exceedingly vague the narrative around HD is...

Everybody has that gene, but SOME have a mutation and in SOME cases when that mutation is present the disease develops but not always etc etc. Nothing rock solid there...

I haven't looked into this specific condition, but EVEN IF it is 'genetic' with a later onset in life, this really says NOTHING for a hypothetical...

  • @rodiel89

    (3)

IT'S A POLITICALLY CORRECT RELIGION THAT COMES WITH A NASTY PRICE TAG.

    On the 'innate issue':

It's very simple: gayness cannot be decreted to be a genetic situation merely because gays are so 'traumatized' and would consequently need to be humoured. Such a claim must be demonstrated, or else acknowledged to be just an 'opinion', or a 'wish'. IT IS NOT DEMONSTRATED FACT and hence there's obviously nothing scientific about it.

The link you make to HD shows AT BEST...

  • @rodiel89

    (2)

Most gays want to enjoy life and are NOT preoccupied with these tedious political issues.

And if they are: there efforts are misguided. They're being taken for a ride by the system who is using them for purposes of social engineering. The unilateral, blind fight for 'equality' means NOTHING in a system that is mutating towards a fascistic overt police state.

Isn't it remarkable how shallow this discourse is, of 'equality', 'tolerance' etc?

  • @rodiel89

'1. most of that "inane bashing" is a result of a lifetime of traumatic experience'

I don't think gays are more traumatized than straights at all & this victimizing trip has been put out by militants, fighting the 'evil heteronormative bullies'.

In my experience only a fringe minority of vocal gays is busy with these ENDLESSLY REGURGITATED themes, that only serve to fatten the legal system & occult the REAL issues.

  • @froggyola I completely agree with you.

  • A funny video. Yet the serious element involved in the Stonewall Riots have been explained beautifully.

  • Gays that forget their history are doomed to repeat it. Remember our roots as well as our highlights!!!!

  • Since is MUST be biologically based according to militants and this has become an absolute dogma in society -merely based on the fact by the way that most gays remember that by the time they were somewhere between 7 and 13 they felt some/a lot of male attraction- is so so unreasonable to ask some substantiation for this claim?

What indeed proves babies are already homosexual? I admit I find this notion patently absurd. I'll also point out it is of course NOT a choice either.

    Innate? Prove it!

  • *not Nahib but MrNahid02

  • Interesting to see that on the comment section a guy called Nahib has given his view that homosexuality is not biologically based in a rather civil fashion and he immediately gets attacked and abused by various gays, calling him "retarded", "gay-bashing muslim freak", is told to "fock off" etc.

I find it a bit sad when gays continually regurgitate mantra's of "homophobia", "equal rights", "the glorious fight against evil oppressors", "innate", and then must resort to inane bashing themselves...

  • Thumbs up, Varla!!

    Very profound!!

  • I CANT UNDERSTAND OHHHHH GODDDDD

  • haha awesome! thanks for sharing!

  • Great!

  • Stupendous! I love the School House Rock stylings in it...the hairpin drop heard round the world!!

  • @MrNahid02 It's nothing to do with wanting, it's not a choice, did you choose to be straight?

  • @parosmarpissa no i didn't because biologically im attracted to women. You can't biologically be attracted to te same sex.

  • @MrNahid02 Of course you can. When I'm with my boyfriend who is quite handsome my "biology" gets hard!!! And then we go from there......What kind of name is Nahid anyway....you must be one of those gay-hating muslim freaks.

  • @billyboylb

what are you on about. you're not attracted to boys because of your genes or anything its cause of you're environment and the way you've been brought up.

  • @MrNahid02 LOL...my parents did just fine. My hot husband has been by my side for nearly two decades....not you or your silly religion can change that....Maybe you should go eat some pussy and stop gay bashing.

  • @MrNahid02 Are you retarted? Or just really, really stupid?

  • @myfriendcaffeine

    your mum

  • @MrNahid02 I'm gonna go with retarted.

  • @MrNahid02 WTF

  • @MrNahid02 because I don't like eating pussy...the less i eat there more there is for you dickwad

  • @MrNahid02 people dont choose to be gay, they just are deal with it or fuck off to somwhere else

  • @clawz1990

people have a choice in the way they think and behave. If you continue to think and behave in particular ways than things will seem like you have no choice.

  • This is really good. God bless.

  • i have to do a presentation on sexual liberation in the 70s and i am sooo going to use this!

  • After seeing Varla in P-town during Labor Day week..... I'm a fan. Varla is "da bomb".

  • Oh, this video rocks!

  • im glad she didnt gain any weight after her movie, girls will be girls.

that girl can eat her canned cheese.

  • there should be more LGBT community members of color in this video, but it was still pretty awsome.

Prop 8 can suck my balls

i thought california was our state

    harvey milk would weep

  • If anyone reads this who was at Stonewall that night, THANK YOU!

  • very good point LGBT black and ethnic minoritiys are very under represented

  • Why are (nearly) all the people depicted in this video white?

  • Was a lot of Segregation in the 60's

  • Good point, like viritually everything in a whi9te supremacist society like the U.S., LGBT history is often "whitewashed". It is something our community needs to face head on. And yes, I am a young white gay gay talking here.

  • I found it particularly disheartening because, according to my history books, Stonewall had a large (or perhaps largely) Latino and Black clientele. It's not a question of racial sensitivity, but rather one of historical inaccuracy.

  • supercool!

  • Anybody know of a gay pride event in the arkansas area???

  • for been a drag queen she dance so hot o.0

  • Celebrate 15 years of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender PRIDE in the Philippines, join the anniversary Pride Parade in Baguio City, the Philippines on June 28, 2009 - meeting place at the Session Road @ 8:00 a.m. - supported by Metropolitan Community Churches in the Philippines and Progay Philippines. Please bring your rainbow flags and your straight family members!

  • This is soooooooo fierce!!!!!!!!!!

  • "now maybe you don't dig a wig, or jive in a dive at night, but it was they who paved the way for all who say theyre lesbian or gay" - awesome lyric, five stars.

  • yeah the older gays def deserve our respect....

  • I love this song Varla and you Darling, you look Beautiful.

    Luv always

    Sarai

  • THANK YOU

  • i cant its great !

  • do yuhh have a problem with Gays and Lesbians??? if you do, Deal with it!

  • Amazing-- can we get this into schools?

  • This is why I get mad at the vanilla gays who are always trying to get the drag queens, leather daddies etc out of the pride parade... it was the drag queens, the trannies, the hustlers that had the courage to fight back, they are why we have the rights we have today. I salute our elders. Our community needs to always keep the past alive, for young people my age. Go see Milk for this reason too!

  • @sinistralwing hey i was just wondering what vinilla means does it meen the same things as straight acting or mabye not but yh i agree with you :D

  • @sinistralwing

It all comes down to what you want a pride parade to be. Is it a family event where the greater community gets together to celebrate and show solidarity with the gay subcommunity (same as ethnic subcommunity parades, for example), or should it be a sexually-oriented adult parade with overt displays of sexual fetishism and conduct?

If it is a family event then I would suggest that non-sexual/kinky crossdressing would be okay,

    (cont'd)

  • @UTubeIsTrackingYou

Half-naked bodies, leather fetish gear and pronounced displays of making-out and sexual innuendo, however, are not appropriate for such an event. None of that is displayed in any other family-oriented parade, it is not appropriate for children, period.

Perhaps there should be two events, one for families and one as an adult erotic event. The adult event could possibly not be limited to the LBGT focus, but include everybody who wants to get their kink on.

    (cont'd)

  • @UTubeIsTrackingYou

Keep the adult stuff separated from the family events. Including the sexual themes reinforces the stereotype of the gay community not being about anything more than a sexfest. Society has standards - not many citizens want to see fetish-wear clad people of any orientation running around in public. There is a place and time for everything: the people in the Stonewall had a right to enjoy themselves sexually in a PRIVATE, ADULT environment, not so much in public spaces.

  • Its much different now than in the 70's when I came out. You really had to hide alot back then unless you happened to live in a gay friendly city. Now we are out and open, and many realize we are not so different than they are. I do wish gay pride parades wouldnt be so outrageous though. The shock value just sets us back. Straights don't need to see men in leather with their cheeks hanging out.

  • If the buff hairy men in leather weren't a part of the gay pride parade it would be the Macy's parade. I wouldn't want to go.

  • varla jean is such an inspiration!

  • i noe i wanna be juss like her...

  • When people ask 'why do they have gay pride parades' this video is a pretty easily explained example.

  • Do some colleges have LGBT history classes? Because I'm freaking sad I haven't heard much about this.

  • Yes they do. I got to the community college in Salt Lake, Utah. I heard about it in the GLBT Studies class I took.

  • That was the greatest thing ever = ]

  • This video is amazing, but, honestly, I don't see much difference between then in now in terms of homophobia and gay right.

  • You got that right. I blame it on the Bible.

  • Actually some advancements have been made. Most states have done awayt with sodomy laws and it is no longer illegal to dress in drag. Yes, during the Stonewall era, it was illegal to dress in drag. Also, sexual orientation is now included with race, gender, age, and handicap when it comes to school applications, jobs, ect. So saying there isn't much of a difference between then and now is an incorrect statement. Also, the Bible isn't the reason. We just have to give society a chance to evolve.

  • Every gay person should know about what happend in stonewall!!!!

  • THE best!

  • hey i am 25 and gay i never knew all of this history its really important and it was so much fun to watch varla is a superstar

  • Wow!

  • I had to give a presentation on Gay/Lesbian criticism, and most of the group decided it was just going to be fun and piss off the professor. Apparently my use of this video did not impress the professor at all. This is still one of my favorite videos though.

  • Very well done indeed!

  • Hey Varla Gurl! ... Just HAD to include this great clip on my 'MySpace' page ... Hugs, kisses and lots of 'flawless geaux-girl waffles' for you :o) ... Cheers, Julia (gurl)

  • that was really good actually brought tears to my eyes. only just began to learn about stonewall and realising how much i take the freedom i have for granted. a freedom that isnt available globally.

  • I never get tired of this. Screw "School House", Varla rocks!

  • awesome!!!! what talent and a good history lesson!
