  • I know that in your first favorite foundation videos, you said Chanel Mat Lumiere was in your top 6, do you think Chanel Perfection Lumiere has better coverage? Why do you think Mat lumiere was bumped out and replaced by Perfection lumiere for you? Thanks, Im trying to decide b/w these 2.

  • @Biquis1 i like perfection lumiere much better. it addresses the undertones in my skin way better so the color match is more on point and it looks really natural. mat lumiere has been discontinued according to a few sales associates that i've talked to at a few chanel counters. the only downside (perfection lumiere) is the smell. if your sensitive to smells beware.

  • You should try foundation from American Beauty it's oil free and the best so far from what I've used it's sold in Kohls a little pricy if you like drug store items but it's SOO worth it specially if you have oily skin in the T section very Matt I don't have to set it with powder and it also doesn't leave your skin feeling dry

    I Highly Recommend it

  • @caro1mariscal2 i'll look for it, i love KOHLS:) Thanks!

  • That's ok. Could you do me one last favor and go to my page at mommaduks67 and look at my picture to see if you think that my undertone is yellow also. I'm going foundation shopping soon.

  • Thank you so much. One more question. How can you tell. I feel privileged because I am a big fan.

  • @mommaduks67 i can just tell when i look at the foundation in the bottle, the one for me has a little yellow-ness to it. sorry i know that wasn't any help!

  • It seems that the colors in foundation that you use I also use. Could you tell me what your undertone color is. I am having such trouble figuring out what mine is. Thanks so much. I look at every post you do and I have enjoyed them all. I have even trying to post some myself.

  • @mommaduks67 i have a yellow/neutral undertone. thanks!

  • I have the Revlon one, and yeah, the smell is kinda weird and chemical-ish. I love it, it's good, unfortunately I picked the wrong shade, Toast, which is like way darker than my skin and it made my skin look orange-y.

  • Love ur videos. U r my first african american youtuber ive subscribed to just because im asian and because of my skin tone but i am sooo surprised and love that we have so much in common like skin type. And i love ur reviews, so addicting watching u. Pls do more.

  • @tstgirl thank you so much, i really love youtube because of the fact that although everyone is different (race, skin type, and makeup preferences) we can all learn from each other!

  • I love the mac studio fix I have dry and sensitive skin and Im so glad it doesnt break me out :) I have to try the matchmaster

  • @tommygirl20247 you are so lucky. studio fix has great color matches i wish it didn't give me break outs!

  • Let me just say how much I adore your videos. I love how informative you always are. I have the hardest time in the world trying to find a foundation I cant even tell you. Me and MAC are NOT friends as far as foundation. Every single time I attempt to try it my face breaks out. I just went and tried the Matchmaster last week after seeing your video and my face reacted the same day and Im still trying to heal the breakout around my eye area:(

  • @VondasBeautyJournal thank you so much. oh no the mac broke you out. i'm so sorry. that studiofix fluid broke me out but i haven't had a problem with prolongwear or matchmaster breaking me out. again i am so sorry! that really sucks.

  • Definitely inspired by this vid! I rotate between Laura Mercier, Bare Minerals, MAC studio fix. Powders seem to work better for my skin type...

  • i keep meaning to try revlon colorstay. maybe i can catch it on sale. will check out the primer. had my eye on the MUFE foundation but not sure. i want to try bobbi brown's tinted moisturizer since i love her foundations. trying to use up laura mercier's first.

  • I just love your personality you're always so enjoyable to watch. Best of all you're also informative and credible. Thank you.

  • @maebeeee thank you, you are so nice and i really appreciate all your support doing this:) have a great holiday!

  • Im a new subscriber, I'm actually stopping by the MAC counter today and I think I'll try the MatchMaster out! =)

  • @PrettyPisces88 thats great, its my favorite lately!

  • Really informative & helpful. Enjoyed watching. : )

  • @PinkCookie62 Thank you!

  • This was the perfect time for this video as I'm looking for a foundation myself! I tried MUFE HD one last month but wasn't crazy about it. I'm going to look into the ones you recommend!

  • @ShopAtSpicywedding I'm so glad, I hope you find something that you love!

  • you kinda talk like tina turner, it's so awesome!

  • @MortemDomine lol i wish i had her arms and legs!

  • I just LOVE the way you talk. So professional, thorough and you're exceptionally beautiful! Esp your dimple! Very nice review, I also love Mac Pro longwear mixed with a little Revlon Colorstay. One of my favorite ways to control my oily skin.

  • @bellydancer786 thank you, you are too kind! i'm so glad they have stuff to keep the oil at bay!

  • Crystal, you know i've been interested in seeing this video and you never disappoint! Very informative. I think i must try the Chanel foundation.

  • @bemac85 thank you, i hope you like the chanel.

  • Great video sweetie!

  • @DeeDoesMakeup thank you! i got a bunch of stuff from VS after watching your video on your haul, if my husband asks any questions i'm going to refer him to you! lol. i have never tried the beauty rush scents and you got me so excited about checking them out!

  • Awesome review, and so helpful. It's also a major plus that I can wear the same colors as you. Makes the hunt for color so much less traumatic. Thanks for putting this together!

  • @LavendarMT thank you, i really am glad this helps!

  • Awesome video darling!

  • @holmique thank you:)

  • Great video! I am looking forward to trying the Chanel Perfection Lumiere & the Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer... Thanks!!

  • @blessupgirl thanks i hope you like them both!

  • i love your foundation reviews but personally i like cream to powder foundations. do you have any of those that you favor?

  • @brownskin141 i have a flori roberts cream to powder foundation that i like. its good. but thats the only one that i have.

  • First of all just want to say you look fabulous as always.. I've been wanting to try mufe matte & velvet foundation, what's the difference between the hd one?? :)

  • @naomilvsart thank you i wish i could tell you the difference, there isn't a mufe hd foundation that matches me shade wise. i've tried because so many people like that foundation!

  • Can you please try the Estee lauder double wear foundation pleaseeee!! =)

  • @Kaleelee12 sure, i've heard great things about it.

  • @crystalis007 thanks your awesome! I love your channel your so helpful!

  • Love this video. I cannot wait until I try these foundations le metier

  • @jazzmia123 i got excited when i heard angela basset was a fan of the le metier foundations-might be a rumor but i could see it happening.

  • I love Makeup Forever anything. I really like the pro long wear, but nc 45 is light and nc 50 is too dark. I can't win for losing with a Mac foundation match. I really want to try Le Metier de Beaute and Chanel, but I don't know what shade to get.

  • @shell1328 oh no, it really makes me mad when i can't find a match color wise. like the make up for ever HD foundation doesn't fit me at all. i've tried all the colors twice and no go!

  • Thanks for you updated video! I'm definitely going to check out the MAC Matchmaker. I currently have the Pro and I do like it,

  • @frankiej505 thanks for watching. i hope you like the matchmaker!

  • i have the same skin type as you, very dry during winter on the cheecks and olit on the t zone

  • @becksoli88 yeah its a challenge. i am so glad that there are a few products that make life easier. i'm not a big touch up person so i like things that help me avoid that.

  • Le Metier all the way! However, I like every foundation you included, especially pro longwear and d&g creamy.

  • @VloggerTV thank you, that d&g creamy is so great, i hope they package it differently, someone told me to put it in another container which i think i might do!

  • @crystalis007 OMG! I never thought of doing it with that although I remember way back in the day putting a chanel foundation that didn't have a pump into the vitalumiere bottle with a pump hahaha

  • Armani's face fabric foundation isn't discontinued! :D

    Check out their website! :)

  • @SaixScreamo your so right, i meant to say #7 is hard to find. i had to hunt the tube i have down at an actual store cause online its never in stock. thanks! i wish it was there last week when they had 20% off but it wasn't:(

  • @crystalis007 isn't it so interesting how you'll go to the counter for teh dark foundations and they're almost alway sold out especially at high-end brands? That happens to me ALL the time. yet, so many brands refuse to broaden their spectrum to include darker shades...

  • @wadadlibabe i've always wondered if its because they sell out or if they don't make much of it. i will never forget how two different chanel counter sales associates in two different stores told me that they were discontinuing matte lumiere because deeper skin toned women don't wear foundation!

  • @crystalis007 Oh em gee!!! too funny!! like dark-skinned women don't want to play with make-up too or cover up acne scars or pigmentation? seriously? and it's doubly funny that Chanel people would say that I mean hello?? The reason you rarely see dark-skinned women coming to you for make-up is because you consistently use the FAIREST of the liliest lily white models for your ad campaigns! I mean most brands need to diversify but Chanel takes the cake IMO.

  • @wadadlibabe i thought that was an interesting thing to say considering i walked up and wanted to buy....foundation. i really respect so many of the people that tell me in a nice low voice at the counter "this isn't gonna work for you pigment-wise but let me show you something that will".

  • Very helpful! Thanks

  • @yasjencon sure!

  • Do you recommend any Drugstore foundations??? thank you for the great vid!

  • @mgwlovesmt4998 i love revlon colorstay its in the top 5 and i like loreal true match, they don't have a really dead on color for my skin but the one i had worked great for my skin type. i wish maybelline made something for me, i love maybelline!

  • Thanks for making this...but I wanted to know if you have ever tried the neutrogena foundation? If so what are your thoughts. Thanks and feel better

  • @kittyhippo17 no and ive heard some great things about it. its compared to nars sheer glow or matte by people. in all the stores near me they don't have deeper tones but in the commercial i swear i've seen a shade that i could wear. i might have to get online to get that!

  • I'm so glad you did this video- thank you! Now, can ya do one on your favorite eyeshadow palletes, high end and low end?? Tx.

  • @hotriceandbeans oh boy good idea! since i'm giving a few of them away i should do that thanks!

  • @crystalis007 Oh goodie! Thanks!

  • I love Becca tinted moisturizer. They also have nice blushes.

  • @amfire1 i love the beach tint. i want to try more stuff from them if they are at a makeup show i go to this year.

  • I want to thank you for the videos. I really learn a lot from you. I am looking for a good drug store tinted moisturizer. I wanted to know if you have any suggestions. Thank you for your time.

  • @mzladivee thank you, i have to say you have got me thinking. i've never found a drugstore tinted moisturizer that i like. i have mixed revlon colorstay with moisturizer to make a lighter type coverage thing but thats it. i'll be on the lookout for something that works. thanks for watching:)

  • Funny, last night I was just thinking about doing a top 5 foundations. Do you find GA face fabric foundation to be too red? I have

Yellow and I still find face fabric in #7 to be too red so I mix it with #5. can you do a favorite concealer video? I'm curious to know what concealers you like other than the Le Métier De Beaute concealer... And yes, I know that because I'm a stalker, lol, I stalk your blog and videos :)

  • @michydarlyn18 the GA face fabric is unusual, it is more red/orangeish than anything i have but the texture is what makes it ok i think. something about it just allows my skin tone to show through and make things ok or even out. i love studio fix concealer and eve pearl's salmon concealer is almost as good as LMDB! thanks for watching-your the best!

  • do the prolong wear and matchmaster stay matte?

  • @azucarmorena5000 yes pro longwear stays matte for 8+ hrs on me but it never gets so bad i need to powder. matchmaster stays matte almost as long.

  • @crystalis007 thanks chica. i tested the matchmaker at the pro store but wasnt sure....going back :)

  • @azucarmorena5000 i hope you like it!

  • Have you tried any of the Fashion Fair Foundations ? Last week I tried and brought Fashion Fair Oil-Free Perfect Finish Souffle ... I think I like it !

  • @Missrn07 no i never have, when i heard that Sam Fine was going to be working with them on stuff i got so excited. i hope thats true and not a bad rumor. i like the sound of anything with souffle in the name! i have to look for that. i love flori roberts by the way:)

  • As im fair skinned i obviously find it rather easy picking a shade, but im curios, is it ever hard for you picking a colour? as even though your dark, your not too dark (if you understand what i mean lol so hard to explain)

  • @Rainielovealways it is hard but it gets easier over time. now i can tell if something will work for me much faster. i get what you mean, its just that for a long time i couldn't find a foundation easily. now things are much better! thanks!

  • @crystalis007 I guess its more trail and error when you started wearing make-up, i also think that darker skinner people should have more choice, as in the UK when i see make-up counters theres either not many darker colours or none, although its probably different where you are :)

  • Your hair look gorgeous in this video!

  • @vadfh3 oh thank you, best wig ever!

  • So how about a review of the Becca products you got because i love to see your thoughts on this line because i was interested in purchasing the line as well as the shimmering skin perfector! love the vid!

  • @SoFreshSoClean81 i was thinking i might do that, i love the products so much the quality is amazing. i might put that video together for this month. thanks!

  • I so dislike red-oRangey foundation. I am dark skinned, but I just prefer neutral undertones:) Wear the foundation, don't let the foundation wear you! Great review of these.

  • @cindypltnm you said it all girl! for a long while it seemed like every brand was making foundation with that orange/red undertone and thats it!

  • love this love mac:) love ur vids honey xoxo :)

  • @Missr500 thank you so much!
