I can't believe some of you idiots are talking about Overeem taking roids while flat out forgetting the fact that his opponent was a professional fucking wrestler. A sport that is notorious for having steroid abuse, to the point where one guy cracked and killed his entire fucking family and himself. Where people have had their quad muscle separate from their bone and roll up their thigh.
Could they both have used roids? Absolutely. But one for certain did already, and it's not the guy that won.

You don't need to KEEP taking steroids.
A six month course will do fine, and as long as you keep training, keep eating, you won't lose those gains.
Most top athletes have done a course of steroids.

I knew Overeem had great potential ever since I saw him fight in the Pride many years ago in Japan. He just became better and better and better until one day I came to believe that he could actually beat even Fedor in Strikeforce. Having said that, there is absolutely nobody that can beat him in UFC right now. Not even Fedor in his prime could stop what this guy has become. Great respect. The second best fighter of all time after Fedor and before Crocop.

With him the HW division was a lot more interesting, it was different. He's leaving a big hole in MMA that no one else can fill. I've never felt that way about any other fighter's retirement. Part of it also is he's leaving too soon, he had so much untapped potential.

If you look at Brock Lesnar body language leading up to the fight you could tell he knew he was gonna loose. I saw Alistair in K1 were he was 10 pounds bigger and he lookded amazing. Beating some of the tope kickboxers around the world. He didnt respect Brock and like a true champ took the fight to him. Brook is done and Ive always thought he was over rated.

I respect opinions in general but Mir Submission was not a fluke, inexperience on Brocks part but as Mir is a BJJ Black Belt under Ricardo Pires leaving you leg out like that whilst you're hunched over you gonna get leg locked/knee bar'd, granted he was getting his ass beat around but the point is Brock has great wrestling ability but as far as I know his BJJ experience is near to none, Retiring was a bad choice, he threw his toy's out of the pram.

It's a shame he couldn't have matured into a great fighter.
I was disappointed in this fight not because he lost, but because he hadn't progressed as a fighter and his retirement before he got better. Lesnar vs Mir 3 would have been fun.
