With this song I understand it was written in mind of Joe and them's own problems, but the lyrics can be morphed to whatever situation for anyone who chooses to take the message.
Appreciate the attempt, but yeah, you gotta sync 'em up better. There is software out there that will let you change tempo (speed) without changing pitch. This is a worthwhile project though, so I encourage you to keep trying.

The Beastie Boys did not produce Paper Planes. Production was done by Diplo with M.I.A. and Switch. Still, this so called mashup is pretty shabbily done. Playing two songs at once does not a mash up make.
I don't think Paper planes will be as popular 27 years from now, like Straight To Hell has been. I've heard way better female singers than MIA, like Lily Allen and her version of Straight To Hell. MIA is just a fad in my opinion. I go with The Clash 4 life.

i don't see why everyone is arguing, i (think) the poster was trying to point out a rip off... i guess? it's obvious that m.i.a. took the first 20 sec. of straight to hell but after that the comparisons end. btw, straight to hell, as a song, isn't very good.

I find this mash-up good. M.I.A. samples a Clash track, then a mash-up is born. Interestingly, I heard "Paper Planes" first before hearing the original "Straight To Hell".

The Beastie Boys did not produce Paper Planes. Production was done by Diplo with M.I.A. and Switch. Still, this so called mashup is pretty shabbily done. Playing two songs at once does not a mash up make.

I don't think Paper planes will be as popular 27 years from now, like Straight To Hell has been. I've heard way better female singers than MIA, like Lily Allen and her version of Straight To Hell. MIA is just a fad in my opinion. I go with The Clash 4 life.
