@bullmore345 actually a sonata taking a gti is very possible. The turbo sonata of course it has 274hp and over 285 on premium gas. I have driven the sonata and it is quicker than gti. Lancer ralliart is a huge ripoff at over 27-28k buy a wrx instead. Mk6 gti actually traps quarter mile faster than ralliart. 97.1mph for Gti vs 95.9mph for ralliart. But this is an mk5 gti which is slightly slower and he was really stupid running from a dig on a snowy day

So you're aware the Ralliart isn't that far ahead of the GTI for power/weight (R= 237 hp/3600 lbs, G=200 hp/3100 lbs). WRX is still better than both of them. I wasn't even going to come back to this video since I have nothing positive to say about either car, but your low intelligence required response. It's good for a family sedan, but it isn't a performance car.

It would be more realistic to compare the Golf R to a Ralliart/WRX than an Evo, because you really can't compare a Golf GTI to a Ralliart, or a WRX for that matter.

There's a video from japan showing a race between these cars. The Scirocco R (same engine as the Golf R and FWD) on a track barely lost to an SST EVO X. Plus, it beats the STI ON A TRACK. It is crazy how VW can make an awesome machine with FWD and still compete AND BEAT an STI on a track :O

well, the ralliart is INTENDED to compete with the wrx and the ms3, but it doesn't really (in stock form anyways). it's more of a halfway between the si/gti and the wrx/ms3 as far as street-tested performance goes.

You have a point but I have to disagree with you because I have a Ralliart and while It is not stock anymore, I was able to beat my friend's Mazdaspeed3 by a full car off the line... on a roll the Mazdaspeed3 would pull 1+ car away. We're talking stock vs stock. A modded Ralliart like mine beats a stock 135i, I just proved that yesterday night myself... Ralliarts are really good when modded a little bit... Believe me, it' still an Evo engine and AWD drive + the marvelous TC-SST...
