You need hit moron 15% parry and dodge hit to max or you miss and that is missed threat... with your gimped out paladin. Rest is then mastery lt2p

I've been told that once you have established a solid amount of threat with Shield of the Righteous, it's best to use your holy power on Word of Glory to help out the healers. Is this true?

@PelleLolWut I personnaly hate WoG and use it in emergencies only. If you are comfortable on your health then healers are using their cheap heals anyway and you should be doing more threat/damage.

This depends on the skills and mana issues of your healers. I prefer to not take WOG but use Inquisition it generates about 30 - 40k more threat. Most healers dont have any mana issues keeping paladins up :).

You gem mastery because block is not affected by Diminishing returns as dodge/parry is. When you later on reach 100% block chance, all hits that gets through your avoidance are still knocked off by almost 1/3. (Halved if holy shield is active) And because of the ammount of block you get per point of mastery is higher than your per point % dodge/parry. It's easier to get up. All in all, mastery is your best stat to gather until you reach 100% with later content gear.

Whoever said you needed hit and expertise capped has not kept up with the times. We needed hit and expertise capped in Wrath, but when cata rolled around, they included Vengeance, which increases your AP bn truckloads, causing your hits to generate immense ammounts of threat. (but you need to be hit to stack vengeance, so be sure to get intial aggro)

The goal of a Prot Pally or Prot Warrior is to reach 102.4 avoidance. This is calculated by adding the 5% miss chance all mobs have plus your dodge, parry and block chance. Love you guides btw.

For prot with ret offspec should i just go with the heirlooms that give crit or take the dodge/parry ones? low level tanking isn't hard anyways so will the dodge/parry even make a big difference?

@Bestsnipe3 Use the dps stuff, as you get crit reduction from talents now, there is really no need for tank gear whilst levelling. Save your points!
