@legendaryhero123 The light from Sora's heart healed Ven's heart. That was unknown to Sora himself, but later on, he willingly gave Ven's heart refuge inside him.

Vanitas was wearing a mask when he was created, so I have a bit of a theory: Perhaps when he was first born, Vanitas had no face or he had Ven's face. When Sora's heart healed Ven's, Vanitas took on the likeness of Sora. Vanitas was half of Ven before Sora filled that broken half. Vanitas now reflects the person who made that change.

i think they messed up with the villans in this game.

there are too many unversed that pop up at every corner and more and more come in that one spot.

they made some of the bosses too hard to kill that it takes forever. like Vanitas the first time u defeat him (with aqua) ur like hmm that was ok...the second time (with aqua) ugggh its taking forever! the third time (Ventus) OH MY GOOOOOD!!! forth time(last time with Ventus)...well...im still working on killing him...

Vanitas looks like Sora because Ven's heart connected with the newborn Sora's heart at the beginning of BBS. I know the darkness was already extracted from Ven's heart so Vanitas could have looked like anything before Ven’s connection with Sora, we don't know. Nomura said that if anyone else had connected their heart with Ven then Vanitas would look like that person.

vanitas looks exactly like sora, which doesn't make any sense, because when he was created by zehanort, he had no relationship with Sora. My theory is that luxord may have something to do with it. he displayed very little of his power over time, and maybe thats how he is put into the story. he was one of the last membners to die which suggests a level of importance.

@jimpachi98 Actually at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, when Ventus went into his 'awakening', it was broken. The voice he heard (Sora as a youngling) lent him the rest of what he was missing of his heart, and said he would pay him back...but wait, that happened after vanitas was made.... perhaps he didn't have a face, or he had Ventus's until Sora came into place, well time will tell

@skyeboy97 Kinda. Ventus' and Sora's hearts are connected and you could think of Vanitas as an "extension" of Ventus' heart; somehow the three of them are connected.

As far as I know Vanitas didn't have any appearenece when he was born. He acquired Sora's looks the moment Sora mended Ventus' heart in the beginning.
