the cockpit has about 100 hours of work into it and is all custome molded plastic parts that I created from photographs of the actual cockpit. BTW the throttle control in the pilots left hand moves forward and back and the stick has all the right push buttons. The RIO position has green radar scope and all buttons, dials circuit brakes to left and right. The ejection seats are custom molded with packed chutes visible on top.
.75 ounce cloth over foam. do fly it ...not often. it flies about 80 m.p.h. with the twin pusher props. I try to fly it scale and not horse around too much. It belly lands nicely and is really durable. However the missiles on the bottom are removed before flight. They don't hold up on landing.
Man, you have done a magnificent job here. Just one question: Why the hell would you go to so much work and not get some more realistic propulsion? props? really? on a 1/8 scale? ok. Everything else is absolutely awesome! you should have illuminated the green strip lights- for example: the light colored strip on the top outer side of the left v-stab. If you look at some night operations videos, you'll see em' lit up. :)
This plane is based on a Foam Pusher jet design by Steve Shumate... and at the the time this was designed this was the best option over Expensive Brushless EDF's
Great job on the detail and accesories, but why!!! did'nt you make this a ducted fan jet instead of a pusher, and no retractable landing gears come on man!!!
I nearly lost my mind when the wings started to move. Kudos on one excellent and functional model! Just out of curiosity, what do you think it's worth?
I just want to say thanks for all your support and wonderful comments.
Next project is WWII era Soviet IL2 Sturmovik. 1/12th scale ground attack aircraft. A flying tank with droppable bomblets.. Most likely will take a year to build.
as you americans say, sick! Congratulations! Now, donate it to a museum or put it on display. Get a foam flyer instead, lol! Nah, joking, excellent work! :)
Awesome plane! You are a serious artist with such great attention to detail. Keep up the good work!I would have to say this is the best scale rc model I have seen.
Absolutly beautiful!! I am scared to maiden my foam F/A-18, lol, I think if i spend that much time and effort as you did. Id be wearing adult undies for the maiden. great job!!
I wouldnt even be able to fly it now. Its just too nice looking. Super Fantastic! I wish I could give ya more than 5 stars. I've been looking for a EDF F-14 to add to my hanger and when I came across your TomCat, I thought I was going to die. Simply unbelievable Great Job!
Very good job mate. ive been following your videos for so long... dammm nice man! is it for sale Now??? LOL jk anyway nice job whats your next project B2 spirit bomber?

It's spot on sir, spot on. Quick question, what type of fiberglass cloth and resin did you coat that badboy with?

Whoa! You finished it. Nice job. I assume you're going to start training those rats/hamsters whatever you bought - to fly it right?
Oh wait! That's right you got lazy and never actually hooked up the throttle in the cockpit to the engines...
Arg.. I'm taking my 5 star rating back!
