Magical, melancholic, uplifting. After listening to this CD for years, I decided I might find one of the sides on YT. Got Lucky, did this dame. Joy when you need just enough joy to remember this too shall prevail . . . When you live in isolation in a Hamlet without a Heart, you learn patience is a victory (if, that is, you write because you cannot help but write). The yodelling's a joyful noiseful. Thank you for uploading this sonic gift. (B: Forgive / regret me.)

It´s incredible but the version of this song by Garth Brooks is really great as well.I guess if he sang more songs like this he had more credibility in the world of the real country music.
Nanci does a good job with this. If you want to see the best though you need to see Suzy Bogguss' version. Suzy is THE QUEEN of old school cowboy music.
I also LOVE Suzy's version of this song, but can't seem to find it here on Youtube anymore. The only one I can find is with Suzy and Jerry Jeff Walker. But, I've always loved Nanci's music too and yes - she does a great job of this one too.
@walkshe I have the live Suzy version with her band, will try to repost. Its been taken down twice by NBC,( like they own it), it was from a show called On The Road in the late 80's.

Thank you so much for posting this entire record project. In my opinion it's one of the great musical treasures of the last century.
