  • i have hair polisher, is it bad? it is also ic or fantasia, and it has silicones in it. it isnt the gel

  • @LexipooLuvsChu i have seen that product but never used it. if you're trying to use the Curly Girl method it doesn't work, but otherwise if you like the results, go with it. :)

  • I'm going to try this on the lower back part of my hair because that part tends to be straight rather than curly like the top part of my hair. Thanx for the advice and nice hair btw

  • My hair is all ringlets, :D So I can never find good videos for me.

  • whenever i try this or even touch my curls they get all nasty and frizzy. how can i fix this? thanks!

    God bless XD

  • @bigsislivie are you doing this on wet hair with styling products? this method is only going to work with those specifications. for frizzy curls i recommend checking out my curly girl method video. (check out the curly hair basics playlist on my profile.) hope that helps! if you could be more specific with your question i might give you a better answer?

  • do you plop before or after this?

  • @123agent101 after.

  • I tries today and it totally worked! yay! thank you :D

  • Oh wow thanks for replying so fast! Right so I was thinking that my hair was damaged as I do usually only iron the top part and pull it back in a ponytail, and the under layers of my hair curl really nicely on their own. I'm gonna buy some gel and try that, and hopefully soon my hair will be a little more healthy. Once again, thank you!

  • @93rgal you're welcome :)

  • I just stumbled upon your videos as I recently decided to start wearing my hair curly again (I usually iron it). So this looks like it might work...but I'm wondering: I have some top layers of my hair that are curiously straight and kinda flatten, though my hair is completely curly. Do you think this will keep them curled- even without a diffuser? Thanks! :)

  • @93rgal Hmmm, I'm guessing that those layers may have lost a lot of elasticity from flat ironing and therefore may not curl. It's worth a shot though! Try scrunching your hair a lot and this twirling method, while also using a strong hold product. Also, a lot of curl should come back after you stop ironing your hair. :)

  • @93rgal my underneath layers of hair are curly, but the top layers not so much. I have been drying mine straight and using large curling iron for years. I'm trying to go back to wearing it curly. How's it working for you?

  • @j4prx that will be next weekend's project hopefully. :)

  • @j4prx it's no problem--i'm the sort of person that likes to answer questions. :) i need to make a new styling video. currently i scrunch my hair and then i use this method on the coarse under layer of my hair or any curls that need a little more help to curl nicely. everyone's hair is different--i reccommend experimenting.

  • oopsies. thanks for pointing that out! :)

  • your hair is gorgeous!!!

  • will this work for wavy hair too?

  • probably. try it and see what happens. do you have loose curls or genuine waves?

  • i guess waves.

  • huh. well to be honest i've never tried this method on anyone's wavy hair, but it might work and if not there's always scrunching. :)

  • yep! i tried both and they worked greaat! thank you so much!

  • wow your pretty

  • i tried this and my hair looked amazing, but i did it at night and then pineappled and it looked weird when i woke up, so i'll need to try it during the day.. do you have any suggestions about how to control poof and undefined curls at the roots of your hair? because that's like the only remaining problem i have with my hair.

  • Yeah, pineapples are not the most protective sleeping styles--you might try a plop though. I still sometimes have problems with my hair literally inflating at the roots too much, lol. My suggestions are to make sure it is detangled well and to make sure you apply enough product there. If you braid/clip it to the side it will probably dry in that fashion as well, making it non-poofy. hope that helps :)

  • I just watched this video to the part of the IC gell stuff, at first i was wondering why it was reversed, Then I realized you have the camera facing the mirror, correct me if im wrong :) Ciao!

  • Nope, I just used the reverse option in imovie. My macbook actually records things in reverse anyways, so I switched it back.

  • your so pretty, and you have beautiful curly hair.=)

  • thankQ :)

  • haha i literally just learned about skip curl today. wow what are the odds?? haha love it!

  • oooh tht is too tedious for me...it looks nice...im not sure i could pick out such precise sections of curl to define lol

  • haha i can do this really fast now, and i just sort of grab random sections. but it does take me longer to style my hair.
