Connie Allen performed with the Paul Williams band (Paul "Hucklebuck" Williams) for a time. She sang on a song recorded by the band called 'What's Happening'.
Oh yeah, this is the real stuff! Racy, risque, and suggestive it is, without being obscene and vulgar like most of the "bad poetry" called Rap that the kids listen to today. I haven't heard this one in a long while and I am grateful for having listened to it today!
There's just a handful of us left who remember this song. I'm one of them. Nothing will ever replace R&B from 1950 - 1957. That was seven years of REAL music. Will be 70 years old in a few days, and can still do the bop. Thanks for posting this great song! May the R&B Gods bless you for the rest of your natural days.

I have a Halloween gig with a jump blues band...filling in on drums.
Glad to get a good listen to this, one of the songs we'll be doing.
What a groove!

@PeterVred Sounds like you'll have a terrific groove on Halloween. It'll keep the bogey man away that's for sure.
