they've always said it was where they were in the music industry. but that doesn't make all too much sense. they certainly weren't huge before hot fuss, and while they recorded this, it had to be 2003, and they weren't too big then at all. they were starting to get a bit of label love, but that's about it. with lyrics like "your body's shaking, and it's clear you really need it, so let go, and let me feed it" it certainly does sound sexy.

I like that The Killers albums each have a different sounds to them. Hot Fuss was great, but so were Day & Age and Sam's Town. They highlight their versitility with the changing sounds.

I agree hot fuss was really good, so was sam's town but day and age was a bit of a dissapoontment there's only about three hood songs on it and it's a completly different style from the previous albums

as a true Killers fan, i love all their albums and know that all their songs are wonderful. Part of the reason that makes The Killers so amazing is that they know that Hot Fuss may have been what pleased the crowd most, but they want to be different and try out new things. Everyone should respect that. Afterall, not just any band/performer can do that...only The Killers ;] <333
